“Tidy and really useful transcription tool

Pros

For the past few months, I have integrated Philips SpeechLive into my workflow and it's proven to be a really useful tool, mainly when I am juggling a stack of notes, reports, and meeting minutes that I do not always have time to type out. Also the interface is tidy and easy to get around as I can start a recording right in the app or upload audio files. The best thing is that everything syncs up to the cloud without any hassle. Plus being able to get my recordings from whatever device I am on is a huge advantage. I often dictate ideas into my phone while I'm walking and then return to my desktop later to finish editing and polishing the content.

Cons

The pricing is a bit on the expensive side which is noticeable mainly if I'm the only user or part of a small team. Though you do get great value for money but I would appreciate more flexible pricing options or a pay per use approach so I don't feel locked into an expensive plan.

“Everything is web-based and great

Pros

Everything is web-based and there is a great app that runs on any modern phone, so I do not need to carry a separate recorder or additional hardware. Overall it really simplifies things.

Cons

It is heavily dependent on an internet connection, which becomes problematic when I am in remote areas with poor or no service.

Pros

Philips SpeechLive offers the best speech to text tools that make producing transcripts pretty easy. It also handles even complicated or lengthy speeches well, converting them with impressive accuracy and reliability.

Cons

Because the service is billed monthly, I end up paying the full subscription even when I do not have many transcription tasks. Sp I'd much prefer a pay-as-you-go or usage-based billing option so I only pay for the actual amount of transcription I use.

Pros

I have been using this amazing tool all the time to turn speeches into text. It really speeds up our workflow and frees up time for other tasks. Whether I am recording live talks or processing recorded files, it delivers accurate transcriptions every time. Plus it is pretty easy to use, not only for me but for our team too.

Cons

One issue is that it doesn't pick up every accent reliably. So that is one area where I'd like to see improvements.

“The best and most user-friendly tool

Pros

As someone who uses speech to text daily, I find this tool by far the best and most user-friendly. It has genuinely made my life a lot easier. Everything runs automatically and the support team has also been outstanding whenever I have needed help. I mean I turn to this software constantly for a wide range of tasks and in different settings, since it fits into my workflow so smoothly. There is a lot of functionality packed in here and I am really pleased with it.

Cons

The accuracy could use some improvement, but that might be a problem because of the variety of accents I and others use.

Pros

After decades of using dictation gear I can honestly say this is the best system I've tried. The software installs in just a few simple steps and is very simple so once it's set up I find it simple to operate, with clear playback, easy-to-use controls and a handy storage arrangement. Kudos to Phillips.

Cons

To be frank I like absolutely everything about this product. I really can't think of a single thing that's not to my liking.

This tool is amazing for turning spoken words into written text. It really speeds up how I handle tasks, freeing up time for other priorities. Plus it reliably transcribes audio, whether I am dictating live or using a recorded file.

Cons

Personally I have not found any issues with the product as I really love using it!

I have tried several dictation tools and this one is by far the best I have come across. The installation was done in just a couple of easy steps and the program offers so many different useful options, plus it is extremely easy to use.

Cons

To be honest I cannot think of any drawbacks as the app covers every feature I needed.

The interface is really simple so during onboarding I can easily teach colleagues how to use it without much fuss or lengthy explanation. It practically guides them through the process itself which makes training smooth and gets everyone up to speed quickly.

Cons

One major annoyance for me is that the license can't be transferred so if an admin leaves and I rename their computer I end up losing the license.

I like pretty much everything about this product. So yes I can't think of any feature or issue that I would call a downside.

It is really easy to operate and when I am training others, it's not a problem for me to teach someone how to use it.

Cons

My main concern is that the license cannot be transferred, so when an admin leaves and I change the computer's name I end up losing the license.

Because the surveyor can send dictations straight back to the office I as a typist can get on with my tasks right away without waiting.

I haven't run into any problems with the software. It's all working great and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I like the fact that dictations are sent straight from the surveyor back to our office. This lets our team start the transcription work immediately without any delay.

No cons to share as it's all been smooth and I'd highly recommend it.

“a huge step forward from tapes

Back when my manager and I began working together we relied on old-fashioned cassette tape dictation and transcription machines. Moving to SpeechExec Pro to go digital genuinely transformed how we work and after that we switched to SpeechLive which has massively organized and boosted our efficiency. To sum it up like with many things it's the newer technology compared with what came before that makes the real difference!

Cons

Can't think of any real downsides although my manager occasionally struggles with intermittently entering and exiting the dictation app on his phone which can be annoying during busy times.

“the only dictation tool I need

Pros

From my experience I find this software incredibly simple: it copes effortlessly with even the longest dictations and the output never loses quality (a world away from the old tape days!). It also stores my dictations in an archive just in case I need them later and has made working away from the office simple. Because of it I managed to keep working throughout the pandemic and it's now allowing me to mix home and office days. I really can't praise it highly enough.

Cons

Honestly I struggle to find any downsides, it does everything I require and meets all of my needs perfectly!

This program is extremely user friendly and reliable. As it copes with even the longest dictations without breaking a sweat and I have not noticed any drop in audio quality. Also it archives everything automatically which means I can retrieve recordings if needed and it made working away from the office genuinely easy for me. During the pandemic, it allowed me to keep working uninterrupted and now it supports a flexible mix of home and office work. I honestly could not praise it more.

No complaints at all as it meets every need I have and performs all the tasks I require without issue.
