“Easy for optical sales”
Pros
Getting comfortable with this software doesn't take long at all. The layout is simple and user friendly and it works especially well for entering spectacle prescription information and handling eyeglass sales.
Cons
It seems to be built more with eyewear and optical retail in mind than with medical-focused applications.

“Efficient scheduling”
Pros
Patient scheduling is much more efficient with this system and getting to patient information and medical records takes very little time. It's also really helpful to keep older medical records from other physician offices in one place. The software is user friendly and being able to customize it for different departments in the office is a big plus.
Cons
At this point I don't have any complaints about iMedicWare.

“Support failed on every front”
Pros
The clinical view was easy to work with and documenting progress notes felt very user friendly.
Cons
Support was basically nonexistent. We had billing and software tickets left unresolved for more than a year, with no response to issues involving the software, billing or practice management. On top of that the financial reports were inaccurate and not usable at all.

“Hours wasted on support”
Pros
Getting help has been really frustrating. I have spent hours trying to reach customer support without getting the assistance I needed.
Cons
Customer support has been very disappointing. I have spent hours trying to get assistance and still haven't gotten proper help.

“Complete ophthalmology diagnostics”
Pros
It delivers a complete and effective ophthalmological diagnostic solution and the software is simple to use while also allowing users to personalize it to fit their needs.
Cons
The software is amazing and well built so I honestly don't have any negative points to mention.

“better to try it first”
Pros
As a first-time user I want to explore the product and see how it works. So nothing much to share.
Cons
Right now I am just using it to practice as a new user and if it turns out to be good, then I'll decide whether to purchase it.

“customized reports win”
Pros
Right away this has been a big help for us because it pulls up doctor information and patient-facing profiles without delay. We've also worked out how to generate the reports correctly with all the details we need and it does a good job of limiting certain information so staff only see what they actually need to know.
Cons
Getting in touch with customer support can be frustrating at times. It's also not always simple to clearly communicate our medical concerns to the technical team.

“Decent usability, dated updates”
Pros
Getting started with the program is fairly simple and training staff on it doesn't take much effort. Also it offers some customization options to better fit what physicians need.
Cons
The updates don't always seem to stay in step with industry standards compared with other software in the same space.

“Better uptime through maintenance”
Pros
Keeping up with scheduling and routine preventive maintenance is essential for running a successful organization and this software made a real difference for us. After putting it in place we saw our uptime improve directly because of it.
Cons
At the start we weren't taking full advantage of everything it could do. One feature we overlooked early on was the inventory purchasing module which we didn't begin using right away.

“proven reliable!”
Pros
After switching our optical office over to MVE, the difference compared to our old billing and clinic software has been night and day. The old system honestly seems like the kiddie table of optometric software next to this one. It's very user friendly and it has made medical billing dramatically easier for the staff. The exam script also looks good and professional and being able to add our logo to printed materials is a really nice touch. I am genuinely impressed with this software because it has made our day to day work much easier.
Cons
One thing I would still like to see is better education or communication around updates when they roll out. Like any software, there are a few bugs here and there but overall I really do not have much to complain about.

“Affordable pricing with responsive support”
Pros
Pricing seems fairly affordable, the support team responds quickly and it works well with a lot of patient care and management add-ons.
Cons
The interface is a bit complex. The completion suggestions tend to be more irritating than useful and modifying forms can be a little finicky too.

“Claims list is helpful”
Pros
Sightview is easy to use and training new users doesn't take much effort. The claims work list is especially useful because it quickly shows when there's an issue with a particular insurance carrier.
Cons
Support has steadily gotten worse over time. Calling customer service means sitting on hold for an unreasonable amount of time, only to end up being sent to voicemail. Email support isn't much better either as when a reply does come through, it's often just a follow-up question about the original issue which only drags out the problem even longer.
