Pros

Working with the team to customize the program around our facility's needs has been a really positive experience and it has been wonderful for our staff.

Cons

A few parts of the program are laid out in smaller sections so it can be difficult at times to see clearly when charting or searching for information.

outstanding support for long-term care

Pros

Whenever something comes up the support team gets back to me quickly and takes the time to explain the issue if needed. I can reach out by phone or email anytime I run into a problem.

Cons

Don't have any complaints about the program. It's the best long-term care software I've used and the support staff is the best as well.

Great support every time

Pros

Whenever I email their team the support I get is excellent. They take the time to call me, walk me through everything clearly and make sure I understand what I need to know before ending the conversation.

Cons

I've been shown the digital manual but I'd still prefer to have a printed copy so I can make notes directly in it.

Pros

Getting detailed patient referral information from hospitals has been very helpful.

Cons

At times some details are missing or I'm unable to view HC referrals or MD notes.

Pros

There have been plenty of improvements added to the system and working with the software has become much more easy because of them.

Cons

I personally haven't run into any issues but I've heard concerns about the reimbursement table and the way calculations are handled whenever claims are being prepared. Another complaint is that copies of billed claims can't be downloaded.

It's been nice to see the team continue improving the platform. They're making the environment more efficient and much more user friendly.

Cons

Appreciate that the team is incorporating the information needed to stay compliant with state and federal regulations. Having thorough complete documentation is absolutely essential to protecting residents quality of life.

responsive payroll support

Pros

Their team has been great to work with as they are knowledgeable, efficient and very patient. I really appreciated how quickly they responded to our urgent payroll issue and how fast they got it resolved.

Cons

Payroll product could do a better job of staying current with new federal and state tax updates.

simple workflow

Pros

Using it everyday feels very easy and the system is simple to wok with. The tech support team has also been excellent as they're always helpful, kind and pleasant to work with.

Cons

The reimbursement table is a bit difficult for me to understand although I believe that has more to do with my own capabilities than the software itself.

reliable updates and helpful support

Pros

Over the years this software has kept getting better especially when it comes to navigation. It's simple to move around and the pharmacy integration is a big plus since physician orders can be sent electronically. I also appreciate the ongoing improvements in both NetSolutions and Point of Care. The development team does a really good job staying current with CMS changes in both the clinical and billing areas. Another thing that stands out is how simple it is to reach customer support and their response time is usually very quick. The eDocs feature has also made a huge difference because we no longer have to waste time searching for paper records.

Cons

One area that could definitely be better is how resident selection works in reports. It isn't consistent across the system and in some places it takes far too many clicks just to choose a resident. I've also noticed in the MDS section that while you can tab to move forward sometimes it unexpectedly jumps back to the top of the page instead of going to the next field. That can be frustrating and adds extra time to the process. Cutting down on unnecessary mouse work would really help save time.

Pros

Point of Care and Physician Orders work really well and it also integrates nicely with other apps we use.

effective suite that just works

Pros

From daily care tasks to audit readiness this software covers pretty much everything we need in healthcare. We were also able to move away from several third-party tools and each time Experience Care had a plug-in module ready to replace the gap and working from the first day. Their support team is fast and very helpful even though we mostly contact them when adding new modules or making changes. Overall the system reliably does what it's supposed to do and simply works.

Cons

Since it includes such a broad and powerful set of tools it takes some time to figure out at the beginning.

progressive team that listens

Pros

One of the best parts has been the customer support and leadership team. They keep a very open door approach, genuinely listen to end users and actually make changes based on the feedback they receive. Compared with other vendors and applications I've worked with in the past they feel much more forward thinking and progressive.

Cons

The backend design does feel a bit outdated but they are clearly putting effort into redesigning the front end which is where most users spend their time interacting.

custom dashboards that save time

Pros

I really like the ability for users to set up their own dashboards. Having all the important information about my residents visible right when I open the dashboard is incredibly helpful and saves me a lot of time. It also lets users build their own assessments which makes each database feel customised to the specific needs of each building.

Cons

There really are not many downsides for me with this system. I have used a couple of other EHRs and this one has been the best by far.

efficient once learned

Pros

After getting familiar with it the system becomes pretty simple to use. But only after a lot of training!

Cons

Too many steps to get where you need to go. You have to log in, open reports, go to progress notes, select a resident, pick the note type, choose the date and then print. It would work much better if you could select the resident first and have a complete dashboard right there with old notes, new notes, orders and everything else in one place instead of constantly jumping back and forth.

Pros

One thing that really stands out is how actively the vendor asks customers for feedback and more importantly actually acts on it. When we need a feature they put real effort into adding it in a timely way. The system also works well right out of the box but it offers plenty of customization too so you can tailor many parts of the program to fit the specific needs of your company.

Cons

Getting through the earlier years was definitely challenging. This software has existed for a very long time and has gone through a lot of different versions. Since our company has used it for at least 10 years we dealt with some very rough releases along the way where it felt like there were more bugs than improvements. That said those issues are in the past now. The software has been modernized to meet current standards and the new general manager seems genuinely focused on making the overall user experience better.

billing made more manageable

Pros

Right away the customer service stands out as exceptional. The management team genuinely pays attention to what clients need and clearly cares about improving the product to keep up with the constantly changing healthcare landscape. Their representatives understand the billing requirements for every state they support and those rules are already built into the software. If they don't know an answer immediately they reach out for help and usually get back within 24 hours. Users and providers aren't stuck creating manual workarounds just to complete their tasks. Honestly this software is the one to choose. If something goes wrong it's usually due to user error rather than the system itself. It also has a lot of flexibility to handle the different rules from all kinds of payors and billers find it very user friendly.

Cons

An area that could be improved is the statement options. It would also help if more reports were available in Excel format since there are already many reports but they aren't always the most user friendly.
