“Procurement workflows done right”
Pros
Working in procurement I needed something dependable for contract management, supply chain operations, invoicing and inventory control and this software has handled those areas really well. The menus are user friendly which made it easier to move through tasks and my day-to-day workflows have become much more efficient. I also appreciate that all note threads are saved in one place and are easy to access, with the full history available whenever I need it.
Cons
The only thing still missing is a complete procurement tool for issuing RFPs, although that feature is expected to be introduced soon.

“RFIs with real-time visibility”
Pros
Whether I am on-site or back in the office, this system is pretty easy to work with. The RFI feature is especially useful because, rather than digging through long email chains, everything is grouped clearly and tracked by status which saves a lot of time when coordinating with teams, subcontractors and clients. Reporting site issues directly from the field is also very practical especially with the option to upload images and documents right away. Document retrieval is quick too, since everything is neatly arranged using folders and tags. Having real-time visibility into inventory and logistics has been a big advantage as well and the alerts help us follow up without delay. Their private social feature has also turned out to be valuable, giving us better insight into worker concerns and creating a place to share tips and advice with newer staff.
Cons
I thought not having a separate mobile app might be a problem when working on-site but it hasn't been an issue. Using it through a regular browser on a phone works perfectly well.

“Workflow filters save time”
Pros
Right from the beginning, they spent time learning how our processes worked and tailored the system before go-live. The biggest benefit has been how simple it is to organize workflows and pull up files within seconds using filters and tag-based searches. It was also important for us to share files and RFIs with subcontractors immediately and this has worked really well while saving us a lot of time compared with relying on email and Excel. We've spent far less time clearing out inboxes. Another useful feature is being able to price materials and labor at either the task level or the overall project level. The Supply Chain and Invoicing modules also run very well and have helped lower our operating costs.
Cons
At the start we asked whether Microsoft 365 and Teams could be included so we could use a single login. But they generally avoid connecting with other software for security reasons. However it has not been a big issue for us, since we can prepare files separately and then upload or download them as needed.

“A fantastic boost for schools”
Pros
When the pandemic began, we implemented their complete LMS, Admissions and School Management platform and it quickly became essential for keeping online learning running. The upgrade has made a huge difference in how we operate and has significantly increased productivity. It covers attendance tracking, health reports and sick notes, grading, course libraries and reading resources, online classes and document management. The standout benefits are how user-friendly it is and how strong the document management is especially the ability to create unlimited folders, tag files and videos for quick searching and rely on a fast back end. Admissions and registrar processes are also running much better now. Teachers, students and parents each have their own portals and everyone is very pleased with the system. It's simple to manage day to day and the setup and training at the beginning were excellent as well.
Cons
One limitation is that it does not automatically integrate with Microsoft Office, so we have to prepare training materials offline and then upload them. That said it has not created any real problems or added to the workload overall.

“finance-friendly ERP for planning”
Pros
After implementing their ERP, it has been proven to be a great fit for our finance and budgeting work. Having ledgers listed both by code and alphabetically is especially helpful for assistants. We're able to tailor the chart of accounts, allocate income and expenses to purchase orders and projects and review trial balances along with ageing reports. The multi-year operating budgets are also very valuable when planning projects. We're also excited about the next release which is expected to connect payments to ledgers and automatically update entries.
Cons
What I would have preferred is having bank reconciliation and account updates based on payments available already. Both features are expected in the next release.

“Private social tools that deliver”
Pros
Having a private social feed built into the platform has been really useful for sharing ideas and even raising complaints anonymously. On site, we also rely on it to exchange files and RFIs and the messaging feature makes it simple to reach everyone involved in a project.
Cons
The only limitation we run into is when we're underground and lose signal, so we cannot use it again until we get back to ground level. But that's more of a connection issue with the site than a problem with the software itself.

“RFIs save lots of time”
Pros
Using it out in the field has been very easy and it handles what we need without any hassle. The RFI feature saves us a lot of time and the file sharing works really well for documents, photos and recordings.
Cons
At remote sites or deep underground, no internet access can be an issue, so sometimes we have to go back up to the ground level to get a signal.

“Project management done right”
Pros
Adaptive has really helped us tighten up our project management workflow. The information we need is available exactly when we need it which makes day-to-day work much more efficient. File sharing works very well across teams, stakeholders and clients and having task reviews and discussions handled directly inside the software keeps everything in one place. The range of security features is another big plus. I have also gotten a lot of value from the budgeting tools at both the project and task level especially with the visibility into slippage.
Cons
One thing it's missing is BIM functionality and built-in technical drawing support.

“amazing workflow and file control”
Pros
As a surveyor, I need a very organized workflow and fast access to thousands of files, along with version control and local backup. Adaptive covers all of that. I can create unlimited folders and subfolders, add tags and search by folder or tag. It lets me be as detailed as I need whether organizing by Site, BIM or Regulation. Sharing individual files or entire folders with outside suppliers and contractors is quick and easy. If something is done by mistake, it can be undone immediately which is a huge advantage over email. Our workflow has become much more efficient with the RFI feature because it keeps related topics together and shows their status clearly. The messaging module is also very well designed and honestly feels more efficient than Microsoft Outlook. We save a lot of time by not managing endless sent items. I also like the internal social-style feature for sharing ideas or even raising complaints anonymously. Overall this is a very capable and serious software platform. It's definitely worth asking for a demo.
Cons
There is no free trial, although that made more sense after we went through the implementation process. They spend time tailoring the software to fit the way our business actually works.

“Powerful document and workflow control”
Pros
Document management has been a big advantage for us. Plus it is simple and efficient and I can handle workflows really well while assigning files and folders to team members or suppliers without any hassle. The risk register and multi-year operating budgets are also very valuable and the detailed Gantt chart is especially helpful for tracking things like slippage and budget overruns.
Cons
We did look at using their full finance module but it seemed focused more on day-to-day accounting rather than financial statements.

“offers excellent security”
Pros
The security and document management stood out as excellent. Sending files or folders to staff or suppliers is fast and simple. The search function is outstanding too as being able to filter by folder or tags means we can find documents within seconds. Plus our workflows are far more efficient now and full version control has been a big improvement. There is also a file manager tool that lets us create backups whenever needed. On top of that projects can be planned, costed and managed in one place, with issue and RFI discussions organized by topic. This saves us a huge amount of time compared with handling everything through email. The intranet tool has also been very valuable for sharing information and building internal knowledge.
Cons
At the provider selection stage, one competing option promised a faster setup and that did make us hesitate. Looking back, though, we made the right choice. The team took the time to really understand how our business works so the system would fit our daily processes and they even made small adjustments before rolling it out.
