“Document tracking done right!!

Pros

It has been really helpful for keeping all my documents linked together and simple to find when I need them. I'm no longer stuck filing piles of paperwork every single day which has saved me a lot of time.

Cons

There are times when certain processes take longer than I'd like. I tend to work a bit faster than BatchMaster so it can slow me down occasionally but it's nowhere near frustrating enough to make me stop using it.

“Responsive support and fast fixes

Pros

Customer support has been excellent. Anytime we submit a trouble ticket, it's usually taken care of within 24 hours.

Cons

The document management side could use more depth especially for MSDS files and other essential regulatory documents. It would also be nice to have a better way to customize the standard reports.

Working with the team has been a really positive experience. They're very responsive and provide plenty of support whenever needed.

When it comes to more complicated issues, the resolution time can be a bit longer.

Something that works well is the connection with our accounting software. Sending in support tickets is simple and most of them get handled pretty quickly.

Cons

Getting comfortable with the system and learning the different features takes time. Also, functions for warehouse location setup, like row, aisle, bin and rack, aren't really capable of supporting a proper warehouse configuration or assigning specific item locations. We ended up paying extra to have the program customized and we're still hoping it will work as needed.

It's customizable enough to match the way your company works and the customer service team responds very quickly.

Cons

Most of the reports are difficult to read and once they're exported to Excel, editing them is still a hassle.

It handles the full order-to-cash cycle in one system which makes it possible to manage the entire process through the software.

The production workflow is a little complicated especially since creating a batch entry has to be followed by generating a batch ticket.

Pros

Keeping tabs on lots and raw materials is incredibly simple and I can trace every single unit of a product within moments.

Cons

At times the wording in some smaller, more specific menus feels a bit confusing especially when synonyms are used for terms native English speakers would normally call something else.

“Reliable sap-based flexibility

Pros

Having everything in one system is a big plus and SAP itself is rock-solid, dependable and widely trusted. BatchMaster on top of SAP can be customized to just about anything we need and even the standard out-of-the-box setup already works well for us.

Cons

The built-in SDS module is extremely complex and really needs a complete overhaul. It's slow, tedious and regularly creates issues because the whole module feels outdated and badly designed. It shouldn't still rely on WORD.DOT and it definitely shouldn't keep growing in size when creating multiple files since the resource usage can end up crashing the computer. I'm aware there are add-on SDS modules available but they tend to be expensive and also take a lot of time to set up. If this part were organized, I'd easily rate the system 5/5.

It really takes the time to understand what our business needs and then builds out the solution to match those requirements.

Cons

The system has been working very well overall. My only suggestion would be for the support team to challenge customization requests a bit more and guide clients toward trying the out-of-the-box setup first before going down the custom route.

The support team is very responsive but certain issues can still take a while to get resolved.

Running a pharmaceutical manufacturing business gets a lot more manageable with this in place. It's incredibly simple to work with and helps organize operations while keeping everything aligned with FDA regulations. It covers just about everything, whether you manufacture your own medications or not, including R&D, product development, production, quality, inventory, FDA traceability, compliance, scheduling and warehousing.

Cons

As far as getting things right, I really don't see anything missing here. It seems built more for larger pharmaceutical companies but overall it's one of the best systems to have for a pharma business.

Pros

It feels like a complete manufacturing package. It covers a wide range of needs, including inventory analysis, production, formulation, billing, quality control, production costing and planning. It really helps manage the entire manufacturing process from start to finish and supports getting the product all the way to the end customer. The name fits well because it truly works like a master application for manufacturing.

Cons

Since it is a specialized solution, it takes a bit of learning at the beginning to use properly, though it becomes much easier once you get used to it. The app is also slightly expensive.

Pros

One of the biggest advantages of this software is that it helps catch mistakes early in the process. If something is entered incorrectly, there's a good chance it will be noticed during the initial stages rather than much later on.

Cons

Getting comfortable with the software takes time because it is not very user-friendly. The module layout could be more convenient and understanding what each module does along with its functions requires a fair amount of learning.

Pros

This has been a really solid ERP system to work with. The setup feels simple and the interface is very user friendly so it doesn't take long before you feel comfortable navigating everything. Another big plus is their customer support team, they seem very knowledgeable and are quick to respond whenever an issue comes up or you just need a quick tip.

Cons

There honestly isn't much to complain about. If I had to point to one thing, it would be helpful if the system could connect with more than one financial database. Since our company operates in both the US and Canada, we have to use different versions of financial software and right now we can't interface both through the same BatchMaster instance. I'm not sure whether that's something BatchMaster can change or if it means we need to explore other finance software options.

Using it day to day has been very simple and the connection between our financial system and the manufacturing software works really well.

Cons

At times the programming side feels a little slow but even at its worst it is still not too bad. There are plenty of other software systems out there that are much worse.
