“Excellent billing and sales pipeline”

Pros

Having one system that carries our workflow from sales all the way through billing and invoicing has been a big win for us since it lets us manage the full client lifecycle in a single tool. It's a really decent SaaS product with very little technical setup required so configuring it around our business needs has been fairly simple, whether that means data and process mapping, setting permissions or generating templates. The automatic invoice creation based on data points is especially useful because it helps us send bills out faster and start bringing in revenue sooner.

Cons

There really isn't much to complain about overall. If anything I'd like to see the Salesforce relationship and integration improved especially around building objects in a better way and not needing so much infrastructure on the integration side.

“unified finance and billing visibility”

Pros

The thing that really works well is how user friendly it is. Having finance, billing and customer information all brought together in a single system is a big advantage, instead of juggling separate tools or relying on spreadsheets.

Cons

Getting everything set up and implemented is fairly involved and the process can be challenging to work through.

“centralized reporting win”

Pros

One of the best parts of it is how well it integrates with Salesforce while bringing all financial data into one place which makes reporting and tracking a lot more easy.

Cons

A downside is that the setup can be fairly complex and the system can feel slow to move through at times especially for people who are new to it.

“Powerful reporting, customization tool”

Pros

Being built on Salesforce is a big advantage especially with how it centralizes accounting and financial reporting in one place. There's plenty of room for customization, access to additional apps through AppExchange and the mobile access is useful when working on the go. The real time dashboards and reporting also make it much easier to stay updated on financial data.

Cons

The learning curve is definitely steep so it takes time to get comfortable with everything. Since it's a Salesforce-based application, it also comes with quite a few limitations tied to that platform.

“salesforce finance integration is a big plus”

Pros

To me the best parts of it is how tightly it integrates with Salesforce, giving a single view of both financial and customer data. The automated billing and revenue recognition are also really valuable. Implementation is simple, the platform is user friendly, integration works well, customer support is helpful and it's something that gets used regularly.

Cons

I honestly haven't run into any major issues with the product especially when coming in with basic knowledge of how it works.

“Top tier features, reliable support”

Pros

One thing that really works well with Certinia Financial Management Cloud is the user friendly interface which makes complicated processes much easier to handle. Moving through the features is not hassle so the overall usability is better and day to day work is more efficient. The platform also stands out because of its broad feature set, offering a complete range of tools that can support many different business needs. From smooth integrations to more advanced modules, it delivers a well-rounded experience. We use it often and the customer support has been consistently good.

Cons

Getting it implemented does require knowledge and expertise and the people involved in the rollout still need time to get comfortable with the process even if the learning curve is fairly manageable. On top of that the e-learning resources could be improved in terms of quantity, product coverage and how accessible they are.

“offer professional service”

Pros

Running financial management on the same Salesforce platform as CRM and professional services has been a big advantage. Everything seems connected in one unified system which helps keep data consistent and processes more organized across teams. The real time analytics, dashboards and reporting are especially valuable for making faster decisions. Subscription billing and recurring revenue support are also very impactful. On top of that the platform is highly customizable, scalable and the user experience is amazing and user friendly.

Cons

One thing to keep in mind is how dependent it is on the Salesforce ecosystem since it is built natively on Salesforce. That can create challenges for teams that are not already familiar with Salesforce. There are also some limitations around customization despite the platform being flexible in many areas. Cost can be another consideration especially for organizations watching budget closely and the overall complexity may be a hurdle for non-Salesforce users.
