“False promises, broken platform at its core
Pros
Great UI, great roadmap/promises of features that make rapid close simple, great multi-entity functionality
Cons
Founders/team is dishonest about the platform and it's functionality/stability. They claim it's stable, but I cannot go more than 15 minutes without finding critical bugs that prevent me from maintaining accurate books. The team has been stringing me along for 6 months around promised features and fixes to the bank match, journal entry, eliminations, reporting functionality, but for every bug that is fixed, another 2 pop up in their place. They told me they finally hired their first QA engineer in Dec 2025, so have been relying on customers to find and report bugs. I quite frankly would not be surprised if they were vibe-coding this entire platform. It looks great in demos, but falls apart when using it. Interestingly enough, this was the only company that refused to give me access to a demo environment during our selection process, seems like they're doing that on purpose to buy enough time to get the customer switched over and stuck with them.

“Very user-friendly
Pros
It is easy to use and really simple. And whenever I have had questions, their support team gets back fast and actually helps. What's even better is that they have got a CPA on the team who makes sure we are staying on track with compliance stuff. That gives me a lot of peace of mind
Cons
They are constantly adding new features and improvements. The team clearly focuses on user needs and is very responsive to feedback so I do not have any complaints about this.

“Smooth and speedy!
Pros
I am impressed by how seamless the dashboard is. It offers a distinct option where I can view graphical data which is pretty helpful for data analysis. Also I love how fast the journal entry interface is as it makes DualEntry feel reliable and easy to use. Additionally the systems automated cash matching and reconciliation features are fantastic and it integrates well with platforms like Bill.com.
Cons
In the report generation queue I would like to see an option to choose between YTD (Year to Date) and PTD (Period to Date) for the trial balance where we can define it ourselves. Other than that I don't see any issues and I think this would be an easy fix in future updates.

“Awesome system to get things done
Pros
It has been awesome having all our accounts and inventory in one place. Plus I can create financial statements and custom saved searches easily. Also it is way smoother than just submitting a bill in QuickBooks. The AI Copilot also saves a lot of time when I am putting together reports making everything so much faster.
Cons
I have not found any features that are not helpful. Every aspect of it has been carefully thought out.

“Reliable and simple accounting software

“Simple interface designed for laymen
Pros
DualEntry is really easy to use. I was surprised at how simple it was to navigate even without any experience. The dashboard is clear and everything I need is right there in the left sidebar. Also all the important accounting info is just a click away which saves time on tracking AP, amortization, bank accounts and more. Plus it cuts down the time spent on financial data and generating reports is a breeze. And the accessible ratios make it easy to spot any discrepancies.
Cons
Overall I really like how convenient the platform is as, its clear, simple and easy to navigate. That said I have a couple of suggestions for improvement like adding an auto-correct feature to fix minor spelling errors would be great. Also including dropdown menus like in the asset overview so we can select asset categories instead of entering them manually. As this would speed up the process, make it more user friendly and help when adding categories for the same asset type.

“The backbone of our business
Pros
One of its standout features is the seamless integration with Bill.com, HubSpot and BambooHR. This three-way sync enables our HR, finance and billing departments to operate in complete harmony. Real-time reports give our management and team leads instant visibility into key metrics. Overall it strikes the perfect balance as it is powerful for experienced professionals yet simple enough for beginners.
Cons
There is very little to fault with this software. It consistently makes daily accounting tasks more efficient and smoother. One small upgrade that could improve things even more is enhancing the accounting intelligence/copilot feature to also serve as a smart find tool. It already simplifies terms and answers questions for non-accounting users but adding direct links to relevant reports or balances would make it even more useful and save time.

“Works really well for us
Pros
What I love most about DualEntry is how it easily integrates into accounting workflows, reducing manual data entry and boosting efficiency. Also the AI-powered features help us ensure accurate and improved record keeping.
Cons
One area where it could improve is in its customization options. While it works great for standard workflows I noticed that it sometimes lacks the flexibility needed for more complex or unique processes.

“Perfect for multi-entity and multicurrency setups
Pros
One thing that really impresses me about DualEntry is how flexible and well organized it is especially for finance teams working with multiple entities and currencies. The approval workflows are also detailed and easy to customize ensuring strong internal controls. The platform also integrates smoothly with tools like Ramp, Gusto and Avalara. You can tell this system was made with real finance challenges in mind as it handles complex operations without feeling too complicated.
Cons
It is packed with features but for new users it can feel a bit overwhelming without guidance. So I feel like a quick onboarding tutorial or in-app tooltips would really help make the learning curve easier. I also faced a few minor glitches during testing like a Something went wrong message but refreshing the page fixed it likely just issues from the test environment.

“Lots of integrations that run without a hitch
Pros
I really like how many integrations they offer and everything works perfectly. This was a huge selling point for us as it saves us several hours of manual work each week. We use Ramp and Rippling both of which integrate with it well.
Cons
There is nothing I really dislike about it. The platform is simple and reliable.

“Provides a solid base for accounting
Pros
It provides a clear view of both the business's assets and liabilities. What really stands out to me is how it keeps records balanced by design making sure every transaction impacts at least two accounts (debit and credit).
Cons
Overll it is proven to be a essential tool for us so we have no complaints or drawbacks to share.

Pros
DualEntry is cloud-based, pretty easy to use and supports multiple entities and currencies. Also it integrates seamlessly with a range of third-party apps. Even the user experience was smooth and top-notch. Overall I love this tool.
Cons
There is not much to dislike. Maybe some screens could use a different color scheme for icons when collapsing menus.

“Highly integrable and versatile
Pros
I really like how versatile the software is and how well it integrates with other accounting systems. Also it is highly customizable and offers a wide range of accounting functions.
Cons
One area that could be improved is the reconciliation function. It would be much better if it were more visually user friendly and less confusing. So I suggest showing the two sets of data side by side to make the reconciliation process smoother and easier to follow.

“Ensures top-notch accuracy
Pros
What impressed me most about DualEntry is how easily it handles intercompany transactions. Unlike other software that requires manually switching between accounts and entering each side separately, it automatically records both sides of the transaction saving us time and effort.
Cons
Like many other software platforms the UI looks a bit outdated to me especially with the sheets. However I am sure the team is continuously working on improving the UI.
