“Complete, fully featured system

Pros

The best part is how complete it is. Even the free version is the most fully featured open-source business management system available. As a service provider, we need a system that includes a website, online store and connects completely with other tools like accounting and customer management. The good thing is that this has it all.

Cons

It's missing community add-ons that would really take the product to the next level. Since it is built on Odoo, I tried to get Odoo's community apps to work with it but could not figure it out. That might be on me but I'd really prefer if they offered a direct method to make it happen.

“Stable and reliable platform

Pros

For me the number one thing is STABILITY. I switched from Odoo which was so unreliable as it felt like it would break down constantly. With Flectra you can depend on a stable version for much longer and that directly saves us money. I mean nobody should have to run their company on an unreliable, half-finished business system.

Cons

The community of users is smaller and the process for upgrading between major versions does not work smoothly.

What makes Flectra stand out is how user-friendly it is. It takes complicated processes and makes them simple with a layout that is easy to understand, which eventually helps a lot during setup and everyday tasks. The installation is also fast and simple and you have helpful support and documentation to guide you, making sure you do not overlook anything. Plus it is packed with features for all parts of a business and fits right into our current way of working. This complete package, along with how easily it connects, allows companies to fully embrace digital transformation without any hassle.

Cons

With such a huge range of functions, some of the individual modules are not as detailed or specialized as programs that only focus on one area. But it gives you a great base for all your business tasks. However companies with very unique needs might find a few parts are not deep enough for their specific work.

Cons

Our experience left us feeling really let down and exploited. The development team did not seem very skilled and not having proper support makes everything much harder for a business to manage.

Pros

Flectra really handles every part of running a company from managing client relationships to generating all the necessary reports.

Cons

I would like to have the ability to apply a discount to a single line item directly in the Point of Sale system.

The way they update and add new features really sets it apart from every other ERP program out there.

Cons

There are a few things such as the tools for managing commercial operations, handling billing and the integrated point-of-sale system, that need improvements.

Pros

It is essentially a collection of linked business apps that gives you the freedom to use only what you need, whether your goals are modest or complex. Plus the fact that it is open source is a major plus.

Cons

From my perspective, there are no downsides since you have the freedom to change anything you want to fit your needs.
