Boosting enterprise architecture

Pros

It is really flexible and with a bit of planning, can help fix a lot of inventory problems. It's super easy to use and the license model makes it affordable for everyone. The support for extending the metamodel was great and they're always working on improving things, like contract management.

Cons

The extra module is nice but not always necessary. The discontinuation of the SaaS discovery product was a bit of a letdown. The out-of-the-box integrations are pretty good but they're somewhat limited and building our own integrations requires more resources than we have available.

Agile-driven enablement of EA practices

Pros

LeanIX is an awesome tool to kick off your EA journey. The prebuilt framework lets you create models really fast, showing how your current tech setup supports the business. The prebuilt reports make it easy to handle things like Application Portfolio Management and the ServiceNow integration helped us build our application landscape quickly and accurately.

Cons

It definitely needs more flexible diagramming capabilities. It would really help with supporting Solution Architecture design.

Very simple to operate

Pros

It's super simple and easy to use. The connection between capability and process is smooth and I love how customizable it is. The enterprise view and integration options are really handy.

Cons

I don't have any issues at this point. I'll share feedback in the future if anything comes up.

Overall good software

Pros

There's so much you can do with it and it just keeps getting better. It's constantly evolving, which is awesome.

Cons

If you have a lot of applications and users, it can get pretty expensive.

Great experience with LeanIX so far

Pros

My experience with customer service has been amazing. Their team is a fantastic resource and they're great to work with.

Cons

The reports are great for decision-making. But the diagrams could use a folder structure for better organization.

Improved transparency & teamwork

Pros

Excellent APM tool

Pros

The UI is simple but the functionality is solid. It's a great product that really delivers.

Cons

The upload interface is a bit clunky. I had a hard time uploading all the data without running into issues.

Smooth collaboration

Pros

It's super easy to use, collaborative and flexible. Everything just works well together.

Cons

Not having after-hours support has been a problem for us. We often have releases after working hours and it's causing some issues.

Collaboration across IT & business partners

Pros

The open architecture is great because everyone can contribute to the knowledge base. It really helps build a shared understanding.

Cons

They've got a solid backlog of automation and reporting improvements. But there just isn't enough time to build and test everything they have planned.

Highly effective EA tool

Pros

The tools are simple and logical. It has a clear way of documenting Enterprise Architecture but they don't force you into a specific methodology, which I really appreciate.

Cons

The onboarding process could definitely use some work. They really need to help accelerate the value within the first 90 days.
