“fully customizable and highly adaptable tool”
Pros
Being a fully customizable solution, it can be integrated with practically any database which makes it very flexible for different needs in my experience.
Cons
It does require a developer, along with ongoing support, to handle adjustments for custom applications and future upgrades.

“reliable inventory tracking boost”
Pros
Everything functions the way it was advertised and that's honestly refreshing for me. The integration with Microsoft Dynamics works really well and it has helped us keep much more accurate track of inventory which used to be a constant headache.
Cons
The downside is that you're pretty much tied to the licensing fees. It's worth making sure you fully understand how much an RF solution will actually save because some hidden costs can show up after implementation.

“powerful integration and scanning”
Pros
The integration features and screen-scraping capabilities are fantastic and I find the system fairly simple to navigate and program. Writing scanning functions for users has also been genuinely enjoyable for me.
Cons
Our biggest challenge with this software is that the original custom programs came with absolutely no documentation. Any time we try to update the code or even understand what it is doing, we end up digging through a tangled mess of spaghetti code. I do not really blame the software itself because these modules were most likely created by consultants before I joined. It would be very helpful to have some kind of "where used" functionality for modules and tables so we could trace program relationships and see which tables are actually being referenced in each module.

“faster data entry workflows”
Pros
It connects with our applications without much trouble and cuts down the time and staff effort we need for the data entry we have to handle.
Cons
The downside is that our particular connection needs involve a lot of SQL scripting so we end up outsourcing quite a bit of that scripting work.

“VBA design studio works well”
Pros
Built in VBA so I find it easy to follow and it makes the whole system easy to understand. The design studio is also very simple and debugging the code has been simple and genuinely helpful for me.
Cons
Upgrades don't always go as smoothly as I'd want although the support team has been good when issues come up.

“flexible GUI across platforms”
Pros
The GUI is a real plus for our team and the portability across many different operating systems and hardware platforms makes the software especially useful in our case.
Cons
Not a con but the interface depends on JDE World screen-scraping technology for business processes and data handling. I'd much prefer direct access to the JDE tables so the product could be tuned more precisely.

Pros
It's flexible, quick to get up and running and supports multiple databases which makes it a really practical option in my experience.
Cons
One downside is that telnet support was removed in the newest version.

“better control and accuracy”
Pros
Being able to drill transactions down to a very detailed level is a big advantage from my perspective. It lets users like me handle more complex tasks that would normally need someone at a higher level which helps save money and improves accuracy right at the user level.
Cons
The software itself works really well, the bigger issue is making sure the equipment is user-friendly.

“quick setup and friendly gui”
Pros
Getting this up and running was easy for us and configuring it didn't take much effort either. The interface is user-friendly so my team picked it up quickly and adapted to it without much trouble.
Cons
It does feel a bit limited when it comes to being more creative. I'd love to see a .Net version down the road that offers more flexibility.

“EASY forms and database access”
Pros
Creating custom forms is very easy and I find the ability to connect with multiple databases a big plus. Moving to a new user device also works really well since no code changes are needed on my side.
Cons
Software upgrades can be a bit frustrating at times but their support team is consistently very helpful throughout the process. It's also not something unique to this product since most software has similar upgrade hassles.

“flexible fit for custom apps”
Pros
It was adaptable enough to handle our specific requirements. On top of the standard apps included with the platform, we were also able to build a few applications from the ground up to support our business needs.
Cons
Nothing to complain about at this point. Whenever we hit an issue, the support team was very helpful.

“smooth deployment and database fit”
Pros
Building applications around our specific needs has been very easy for our team. The apps we create are simple to test and getting them deployed to users with demanding requirements has worked out well. Connecting to our database has also been very convenient especially since we use Oracle. Another big plus is that the applications can be rolled out across multiple platforms through the built-in clients. I've used it on Windows CE, Windows Mobile and Android and that flexibility has been really valuable.
Cons
Earlier on major updates meant going to every single client device, handhelds, PCs and others, to manually update the client. That was a logistical challenge for us because our handheld devices are spread across branches all over the US. From what I understand, this has already been addressed in the newer versions. We originally started on version 4.2 and we're now running 5.0.8.9.

“Complete in-house control”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages for our organization is having the option to either handle changes internally or let the platform take care of the work. That flexibility helps us react fast when urgent items come up and it also lets us preserve internal resources for other projects whenever necessary.
Cons
One thing missing in the development environment is a proper version comparison feature which would be really helpful before pushing changes into production.
