“Feels more like a real room than a webpage”
Pros
I first came across Engagez as a participant in another conference during the COVID period, and I was really impressed by the open, welcoming design that felt more like being in a room than interacting with a webpage. Since I have used engagez, what I appreciate most about Engagez is their exceptional support.
Cons
I found their online help documentation difficult to navigate, especially during my first year using the system when I wasn't yet familiar with the names of the functions.

“Solid platform for digital interaction”
Pros
Engagez is the ideal platform for organizations that need to host reliable, consistent events. Some key features include the ability to clone (entirely, partially, or selectively) a venue, provide self-service access to sponsors and support voice, video and text chats. They've also recently added "EZ Live" for livestreaming, which eliminates the need for an RTMP streaming service like Streamyard or zoom,it's a very convenient solution. The best part is that I don't need professional services, developers, or custom graphics, which makes it perfect for us who run multiple events throughout the year.
Cons
It's not really a con but I wonder many attendees had already created accounts and logged in even though the software is not that well known.

“Great flexibility in design options”
Pros
The price-to-value ratio was the best fit for our organization. As a small NGO, we could afford to host a large, well-designed event. Once you get the hang of the software, it offers a lot of flexibility in design options.
Cons
Even though we learned the software fairly well, we ended up encountering a restriction on the main menu (likely something we set up and forgot to change). As a result about 10% of attendees couldn't see our events on the first day due to an issue with the menu. This was one of our biggest concerns initially but we might forget to set up some important features and the system wouldn't work properly on the day of the event. The time difference also posed challenges for us, as it was 9 hours, which slowed down our communication with tech support.

“Top virtual exhibition platform”
Pros
Engagez has proven to be a reliable, flexible and user-friendly platform for hosting virtual events. We've hosted over 20 events on it for a variety of clients and have consistently received positive feedback.
Cons
I think it would save a lot of time during the site setup if there was an option to organize items in the media library into folders. Also, better integration with social media for event promotion would be helpful.

Pros
Engagez is fully self-service meaning no features require an upgrade or extra help. I can use the software as-is or dive deeper into customization for more creative uses.
Cons
Occasionally we encounter features that seem like they were designed by a software coder rather than an experience designer. However these are being quickly updated and the Engagez team has always been very responsive to our inquiries and worked to improve those features.

“Its an excellent choice”
Pros
The Engagez virtual platform is easy to design and configure. It's telling that 97% of attendees rated the virtual venue as very easy' or easy' to use. Plus, Engagez provides excellent analytics during and after each of our event.
Cons
It would be great if we could load more than one thumbnail at the start of a live-streaming session.

“FANTASTIC virtual event space!”
Pros
Exhibit Hall was a standout feature for our venue, allowing members to connect with our sponsors and learn more about them. We also wanted to provide a networking space for attendees and easy access to all course materials.
Cons
It took some time to learn how to use the platform, but it became easier the more we used it. I do wish we could have done more with emailing direct access groups.

The Engagez team was incredibly helpful and responsive. We decided to set up the vendors and venue ourselves, rather than using their professional services but they were always available to assist with any questions. The initial training was great and the first event went off without a hitch.
Cons
Engagez may lack a few features that some of their competitors offer, but given the price point, the additional features offered by competitors aren't worth the savings we get with Engagez.

“Really good for annual conferences”
Pros
Software itself is highly engaging. The graphics and interactive features that help draw attendees in were incredibly valuable. Another time-saving feature was the analytics,having everything at my fingertips saved me hours of work. I felt like I had a solid grasp of the conference's progress throughout the week, and I appreciated how thorough the analytics were.
Cons
Some attendees struggled if they weren't using chrome or firefox. It would be nice if the platform were more compatible with other browsers. We also had some issues with attendees having to refresh often during the event to resolve glitches or switch browsers.

Pros
The staff support is impeccable. Everything was so simple to navigate, and the platform was flexible to use. The analytics are fantastic! I like this software a lot!
Cons
Nothing major stands out, perhaps more "face-to-face" features. The new video feature is great but I think some people just miss the in-person experience, and an online platform can never quite replicate that, so it's not really a fair comparison.

It's a very simple, basic virtual platform with no frills. It's not engaging enough for users and I think it needs more face-to-face features to be more interactive.

Engagez is by far the most reliable platform for virtual events. It's affordable, and the team is very responsive to our needs.
Cons
The online video chatting in meeting rooms didn't work well for us. I would love to see an option where attendees can visit the exhibitor hall and leave messages that get sent as text messages to the exhibitor's phone, regardless of the time of day or night.

“So many customization options”
Pros
What attracted me to Engagez was the level of customization it offers. As a novice user I found it very easy to navigate, especially with the additional onboarding support. Our Engagez representative was patient and extremely helpful in making sure the site met our expectations and beyond. The leaderboard and social lounges helped us create the virtual community and engagement we were hoping for!
Cons
We did encounter a few bugs and some features didn't work as expected, like the search for individual attendees and social lounges being incorrectly linked between pages, even when set to specific user groups. However we were able to adjust to these issues. The most confusing part was the billing process, it wasn't clear when we'd be issued the bill and we didn't receive responses to our emails about it.
