“Responsive support and online docs are helpful”
Pros
Calibration Control gives us a full-featured system for keeping equipment, instrumentation and even personnel and process qualifications up to date. It helps us make sure every operational part of the business stays ready at all times. There's a lot of flexibility in the platform and I'm still discovering new ways to use it, usually with the help of the detailed online documentation and, when needed, direct contact with the team behind it. They're very responsive and always willing to provide extra support whenever it's needed.
Cons
My one wish would be better readability options, specifically the ability to enlarge not only the grid itself but also have the font scale along with it, similar to the zoom feature available in many other applications.

“Training requirements are minimal”
Pros
Keeping track of thousands of items with Calibration Control has been incredibly efficient and it didn't take much training to get up and running. The software was customized to fit my site's specific needs which made the setup practical and aligned with exactly what I was looking for. The automatic notifications for equipment servicing have been especially valuable and save me a lot of time every day.
Cons
The software doesn't need extensive training overall but a few features aren't immediately user-friendly at first. That said, the documentation is thorough and the support team has been very helpful whenever needed.

“Low IT footprint and affordable cost”
Pros
Built specifically with calibration professionals in mind, this software fits the job really well. It also keeps the IT footprint small so it doesn't need a lot of resources to run. On top of that, the tech support has been very helpful whenever we've needed assistance and the overall cost is extremely budget friendly.
Cons
At first, we implemented it with an Access database which meant it depended heavily on having a stable local network. Since our network wasn't reliable, we ran into dropouts and crashes. After moving over to a Cloud SQL server, those issues completely went away.

“No more manual data entries”
Pros
We've gotten a lot of time back with this. It takes care of tracking so effectively that we can spend our time on the actual work in the shop instead of sitting at a computer doing manual entry. One of the biggest wins is that it's not a one-size-fits-all system. We were able to customize it to match the way we operate and that made a huge difference for us. On top of that, their support team has been excellent. Whenever I've run into a problem, they've either resolved it right away or let me know it's being considered for a future update.
Cons
There's a bit of a learning curve in the beginning since there are a lot of customization options. It's not a major issue but it does take some time upfront to get everything set up the way you want it.

“I regret not upgrading much earlier”
Pros
From the moment I installed Calibration Control, it felt very simple to use. Getting around the system is trouble free and there's barely any learning curve at all. One of the biggest advantages is how much you can customize, it gives you a ton of flexibility to configure everything exactly the way you want. I also really value the security features and the different permission levels since they help keep information protected and make sure only the right people are able to make changes.
Cons
Honestly, my only real complaint has nothing to do with the software itself, it's that I waited far too long to upgrade. I really should have made the switch years earlier.

After dealing with customer service teams for software and hardware every week, your team stands out above about 95% of them. Thanks a lot for all the help.
Cons
My hands-on experience with the product itself hasnt been enough to crop out any cons.

“updates continue to improve the product”
Pros
It fit into our existing SQL database without much trouble which was a big plus. There's a dependable range of features for the price and Version 9 adds plenty of new functionality and customization choices. I'm excited to put those updates to use and I appreciate that the product keeps getting better over time.
Cons
A few frustrating bugs here and there but the developer has kept working on fixes and improvements to make the software run better.

“your calibration records at your ease”
Pros
APE Calibration Control is very user-friendly and keeps tool information in a well-organized format that's fast to search. Even with very little time spent using it, it's simple to find the calibration requirements you need and get everything completed and documented without much effort.
Cons
From time to time, the software drops its connection to the database and new calibration numbers aren't always generated as unique values.
