“everyone applies through one system”

Pros

Since 2015, Campsite has been a really trustworthy system for us and I've been very pleased with it. We use it for camper registration as well as staff applications and both parents and staff consistently share positive feedback about the experience. Their customer support has also been outstanding. Moving over from our previous camp management software was very trouble free which made the transition much easier.

Cons

Parents can create an account and keep using it from year to year which makes registration much more convenient for returning families. New families also have a simple application process to complete. On the staff side, I'm able to accept applications, track progress through screening and hiring and then handle onboarding once someone is hired, all within Campsite. That has really expidited both hiring and onboarding for me. The text messaging feature is also very helpful and makes it easier to stay in touch with camp families and staff.

“works extremely well”

Pros

Having customer families set up on this platform has been very easy and reliable for us, with very few onboarding issues along the way. It takes care of several of the more complicated parts of camp registration really well especially medical forms, parent communication and managing enrollments across multiple years. Their support team has also been wonderful to work with whenever questions or concerns come up. They've consistently been very quick to respond which has made a big difference for us.

Cons

An issue is that the modules don't fully connect with each other. In particular, we use a custom activity form that doesn't feed into the program module so that creates quite a bit of extra manual work. It can also feel a bit tedious for first-time users and the admin-side notation permissions are too limited. We'd prefer more control, like allowing someone to view without adding or add without deleting but right now it's basically all or nothing. We also still need to rely on a separate platform for group and conference registrations and it would be a big improvement if that could eventually be integrated. The current options just aren't stable enough for what we need.

Right from the start, it was simple to understand and it includes everything needed to run our camp.

Honestly, I don't have anything negative to say about Campsite.

“automation frees up time for service and growth”

Pros

Getting started with CampSite has been a really positive experience even though I haven't been using it for very long. It automates a lot of the tasks we used to handle manually which gives us more capacity to deliver the service we care about and continue growing. I especially wanted to leave a review now because their support team has been incredibly helpful. The onboarding was interactive and the system has felt refreshingly user-friendly for both our staff and our users.

Cons

A shortcoming is the text editor which doesn't integrate naturally with the rest of CampSite even though it still gets the job done.

“Custom forms and medical questions are very helpful”

Pros

Navigating the platform feels very simple, whether I'm moving between the Campers, Staff, Admin or Conference & Events dashboards. I also really appreciate how many parts of the system can be tailored to fit specific needs especially things like custom forms and custom medical questions.

Cons

one thing I'd still like to see is more features and added customization options within the Medical Dashboard.
