“Quick support for issues”
Pros
One thing that really stands out about CampSite is how much value it offers for the price. The admin-side interface is clean and sleek making it very simple to learn which makes day-to-day use much easier. On top of that, their support team has been outstanding and responds very quickly whenever my team runs into a problem.
Cons
The app transition has taken longer than expected. Since Campsite recently acquired MyCampApp, the integration with the software has needed extra time and that process has been slower than normal. In my view, MyCampApp also doesn't currently meet the same standard of quality as Campsite itself.

“camper, staff and parent data live on one platform”
Pros
Having nearly all of our camp operations in one place has been a big plus. It keeps track of campers, staff, parents and alumni all on the same platform and there are tons of features that help camp run in a very organized and uncomplicated way.
Cons
Getting used to the system doesn't feel very quick to learn at first even though the training they provide is excellent and customer support is consistently helpful. There are also a few features I'd still like to see added but they're very open to feedback and keep working on improvements which makes me feel confident about staying with them long term.

“Billing continues despite providing basically no service”
Pros
Honestly, there's nothing positive I can point to. We run a small business and anytime we needed support, they told us they would reach out when it suited them, not when we actually needed help. That's just not how a service business should operate.
Cons
Response times are incredibly slow and it simply hasn't worked for our business at all. We've even tried to cancel but they continue billing us while providing essentially no service. We're extremely disappointed with the whole experience.

“sending updates to parents requires very little effort”
Pros
Pulling a report and sending a mass email with merge fields from one button has been a huge help. Every parent gets a personalized message with all the details they need which keeps them informed and happier and it takes very little effort on my side to make that happen.
Cons
At this point, I really haven't run into any flaws. If I ever need to do something that doesn't seem possible at first, I call customer service and they always help me figure out a way to get it done.

“Hours of paperwork are now replaced by automation”
Pros
This service has been a huge time-saver for us. Work that used to take hours such as gathering forms, handling payments and managing enrollment, now runs automatically and with far less stress. Having everything in one system, updated in real time and simple to pull up, means our team spends much less time dealing with paperwork and much more time focusing on campers and programming.
Cons
Since CampSite is such a powerful platform some of the modules do take a while to learn. The core functions are smooth flowing but the more advanced areas require a bit more time and effort. There are a lot of features, settings and customization choices so it can seem like a lot at first. That said, once people get trained, most of those early challenges fade away. CampSite's support team has been excellent and are always willing to guide users through any issues. Once staff get comfortable with it, the system becomes extremely efficient and dependable.

“confidence to make changes grew over time”
Pros
Running camp for staff, campers and families became much more manageable because all the key information was available right when we needed it. It also helped that the entire Leadership Team could quickly access important details whenever necessary.
Cons
Having our CampSite set up for our specific needs went well because the representatives were knowledgeable and very capable.Their team was an incredible help throughout the process. There is definitely a learning curve though. Since this was our first summer using the platform, it took me a little time to get comfortable with it but once I spent more time in the system, it started to feel much more manageable. As the summer went on, customer support pointed me toward the Support page and that turned out to be very useful. At this point, I feel confident enough to start making changes on my own.

“A 5 star software”
Pros
Organizing and planning a summer camp is much simpler with this system. It's very user-friendly, the customer support is outstanding and the parent portal for forms is a huge help. The reporting tools are also really useful and having everything in one place makes a big difference. Overall, this is the best summer camp management software I've come across.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see is stronger workflow and automation options. There are ways to work around it but the workflow customization isn't as flexible as it is in some other CRMs.

Pros
This has been excellent for handling my administrative work. It's made communicating with parents really simple and I've been able to complete online registration faster than ever.

“Custom tutorials helped import campers from Salesforce”
Pros
A factor that really stood out was how responsive and supportive the customer service team has been. They were incredibly helpful with everything we needed and this spring they even assisted us with enrolling more than 200 campers. On top of that, they provided customized tutorials that made it much easier for us to import camper information from Salesforce.
Cons
There are still a few parts of Campsite, both on the user side and the admin side, that can be a bit hard to learn. For example, you have to click into an individual camper profile to view camper forms since they do not appear under the family profile and emails have to be sent separately from each family account. On the family side, many of the people we work with are first-generation and not very comfortable with technology so we often got calls asking for help with logging into Campsite, resetting passwords or figuring out how to reach the forms section from the login screen. Having all of the forms stored in one place was definitely useful but we ended up spending a lot of time acting as tech support.

“keeps almost everything in a single platform”
Pros
There's a module for just about every camp task we handle which makes it really convenient to keep almost everything in one platform instead of juggling multiple tools.
Cons
The transportation module feels far too complicated especially for a small day camp. If it becomes much more accessible and user-friendly and adds route optimization, we'd be willing to try using that module again.

“Build lists from any collected data within the system”
Pros
One of my favorite things about this software is the advanced reporting. It can build lists from pretty much any information that's been collected which makes it incredibly useful. I also really appreciate being able to email large groups of families at once based on both current and past session enrollments. On top of that, the financial management tools are very convenient and the enrollment analytics are another standout feature for me.
Cons
At times, certain areas do run a bit slowly. The features themselves are excellent but the processing speed could definitely be better on both the admin side and the family side.

“strong communication tools”
Pros
Running camp operations with CampSite feels very simplified. The platform is simple to move around in, registration works well, the reports are thorough and the communication features are really strong. Working in marketing and communications, it has been especially helpful for keeping parents updated and sharing photos of their kids without any hassle. And whenever something isn't clear, a quick call to support usually solves it, they're consistently helpful. I'd definitely recommend it.
Cons
Since security is such an important part of camp management software, I do wish there were another secure sign-in option that didn't require changing my password every month. Something like two-step verification would be a much better alternative.

“Data is organized in a single accessible place”
Pros
Everything is kept in one place which makes it much easier to stay organized. The customer support team has also been excellent whenever help is needed.
Cons
I'd prefer enrollments to come through in order and be sorted specifically by each location. I'd also like less lag when refreshing for updates especially during unarchiving.

“a strong partner for management”
Pros
From parent enrollment and communication to family databases and financial summaries, CampSite has been a really powerful partner in running a successful camp. It covers a lot of ground and the whole platform feels like an excellent tool for managing the full camp experience.
Cons
It's capable of handling almost anything which is a big advantage but that also means there's a lot to learn. Every situation seems to come with its own twist when using the software. A few features don't fully match our specific needs or miss the mark for how our camp operates but we've shared that feedback with CampSite and they've been open to sending it to their development team.

Pros
we've been using Campsite for almost a decade and the support team has been consistently fantastic with how quickly and helpfully they respond.
Cons

“custom reporting help cross reigonal cases”
Pros
Campsite has been a really proven platform for handling enrollment management, collecting data and serving as an information hub across our programs. Bringing a newly acquired program into our portfolio is quick and it fits in well alongside our existing ones. One thing that's especially valuable is being able to view the full history of our accounts, including camper records going all the way back to 2017. The biggest advantages for our company are how accessible it is for guardians, the form integrations, payment processing and the overall enrollment workflow. Our team especially appreciates the report customization and the depth of data collection. It gives us a clearer picture of what families want, what their needs are in different regions and lets us pull shift reports quickly across multiple demographic groups.
Cons
Because our Campsite account contains a very large volume of data and users, response times can slow down when everyone is in the system at once. I wouldn't put that entirely on Campsite though since a lot of it comes from the scale of our own programs. One issue in the past was the reliance on external payment processors although Campsite has since brought more of that into the platform. When that reporting was available alongside the standard Campsite reports, it was extremely helpful and we'd love to see that return.
