“expanding modules with room to grow”

Pros

Having full access to every module has been a big plus and the platform keeps improving over time. That gives me a set of tools I can continue to grow into as my needs expand.

Cons

I'd still like to see a few additional suites added, such as an LMS although that's not a priority for what I need right now. It would mainly help with things like maintaining documents and related content.

“Excellent photo reports”

Pros

Right away this feels like it was built around the way our business actually works. We're able to capture the safety items that matter specifically to us without dealing with a bunch of extra, unnecessary fields. Being able to add more than three photos is a big advantage and the photo quality in the PDF reports is outstanding even when you zoom in on the document. The form is simple enough that our safety team can finish an audit without it taking the entire day. It's also a solid program that doesn't require extensive training, just a short session and people are ready to use it. The markup and illustration tools on photos are another major plus. Overall, SBN has been a valuable addition to our safety program.

Cons

One limitation is that I can select photos from my iPad camera and albums but not directly from my photo album the way I'd expect. The photo selection tool feels a little restricted.

“easy to use”

Pros

Running inspections and JHAs through this platform has been a really positive experience. The system is easy to use and managing users, locations and similar admin tasks is very simple. My clients have also been happy with it especially because it supports SSO and can be customized to fit their specific needs.

Cons

There has not been much negative feedback overall though there is definitely room to improve how metrics, graphs and other visuals are pulled from the data entered into the platform. It would also be helpful if clients had access to a built in library of templates.

Pros

This platform gives you a lot of room to customize things and the tech support team has been excellent. The subscription model being based on records saved instead of the number of users is a real game changer since it opens up the automatic notification feature and workflow without adding user based limits.

Cons

Getting the workflow configured exactly the way you want does take some time. The user experience also isn't the strongest part of the platform.

Pros

Getting around the software is simple and it offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to modifying it to fit our needs.

Cons

Because we handle a high volume of inspections every day, users do run into speed delays with things like uploading, downloading, refreshing content and similar tasks.

Using it feels very easy, the reports come out looking polished and professional and the customer service has been excellent.

Cons

It would be really helpful if there were an option to export to Word or at least edit documents with the same flexibility you get in a Word .doc file.

“Quick field ready reports”

Pros

Out in the field, I can handle nearly everything I need without having to come back later and rework what I already entered. Being able to turn the report into a PDF is really useful and the photo integration is another feature I appreciate.

Cons

Where it falls short is the report writing side of the software. Character formatting is pretty limited and it would be much better if it supported RTF more fully. Better yet, it should let you export to MS Word for editing and then paste everything back into the report without having to rebuild all the codes especially since those codes aren't visible and you only notice the spacing changes. It also needs more flexibility in photo sizing and simpler photo manipulation.

“very flexible platform”

Pros

There's a lot of flexibility in this software which is one of its biggest strengths. The toughest part is really figuring out exactly what you want it to handle. True to its name, it stays simple while still being practical and necessary.

Cons

From time to time, there are minor bugs when tagging locations. That said, customer support has fixed the problem quickly every time it's come up.

It's simple to work with and doesn't take much effort to navigate.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is the ability to edit reports especially exceptions, after they've been generated. Right now if an exception needs to be changed, the entire report has to be regenerated.

After several years with SBN's product suite, we're still extremely pleased with both the software and the service behind it. They built a custom setup for our company that matched all of our specific requirements and the onboarding process was fast and efficient. Their ongoing customer support is better than what we get from any other vendor we work with. The products themselves are simplified and user friendly so our team genuinely likes using them. Since implementing SBN, we've cut our inspection time by 50% and seen better consistency and quality across the board. Before choosing SBN, we tested several other options and weren't satisfied with any of them. We've recommended this software before and will absolutely keep recommending it to any company looking for a top tier inspection or inventory control solution.

Cons

I don't have any negative feedback about this company. If anything I just wish our other vendors operated at the same level as SBN.
