“Efficient tool with a sensitive search”
Pros
Getting to our customer data is so much more efficient now than when we were drowning in paper files. It's super easy to update information which is critical for keeping our client details current and sending a report is so simple, just download and email it instead of all that scanning and faxing.
Cons
It's frustrating when I can't generate a specific report with the exact asset data I need. That might be me and how I'm asking for it though. Also, the search is really sensitive. if there's even a tiny typo in an asset name that I don't know about, my search won't find it. Like, if I search for "Seaview" but it's misspelled in the system as "Seaveiw," I'll get no results even though I know it's there.

“tracks field assets perfectly”
Pros
The most impactful features for us are all about our field assets. We can now track where everything is and how often it's used. Our operators and techs can see an asset's full history which helps them diagnose issues or see when maintenance is due.
Cons
Our main issue isn't the software. The water industry is full of employees who used to do this work without tech and really hate change. The real challenge is teaching and getting operators to use the new technology even the ones who�want�to learn it.

“Wish there was a trial mode”
Pros
I like how easy it is to customize the software and change things when I need to. I can usually figure things out myself but if I get stuck someone always calls me back the same day to walk me through it.
Cons
Sometimes it's hard to change things in map mode. I wish there was like a "construction" mode where I could try changes out and then undo them if they caused a problem.

Pros
It's an easy system to use which is great because we have some employees who aren't very tech-savvy. It works well for them.
Cons
The "follow me" program only works on mobile devices, not on our Toughbooks or PCs.

Pros
Something I like most about this software is that it actually does its job well. It keeps all of our company's assets perfectly organized.
Cons
It can get very slow at times and it's not the most user-friendly for people who really struggle with technology.

Pros
I find the system really easy to use and the support team has always been super helpful. We keep discovering new ways to use UC in our daily operations. Best of all, the company actually listens to our ideas for improvements
Cons
Small glitches can pop up sometimes, especially right after an upgrade. But their team is really on top of it and fixes any issues super fast.

“Flexible plus fantastic support”
Pros
What I love is how flexible it is and I can tweak the data to fit exactly what we need. Plus, the help and support staff are just the best. Seriously, don't hesitate to ask for help!
Cons
The hard part about getting started wasn't the software or the team and it was our own commitment to setting it up. UC encouraged us to direct how the database functioned which is great but when you don't know what you don't know, it's hard to dedicate the time. They'll help with setup but I felt like we needed to know some database basics first. We got UC mainly to grow our services and track critical work so nothing gets missed and it definitely gives us the tools to do that.

“Web-based, field-ready, brilliantly supportive”
Pros
I really appreciate how functional the software is and I love that it's web-based instead of a clunky app. Having so much asset info available anytime is a huge time-saver for our field staff and makes their jobs way easier. This is especially important for us since we're using it across multiple states with different contractors. The support team is also fantastic and they really get where our company is headed and help us get there.
Cons
My only issue is that you lose some functionality when you use the program in offline mode.

“Good support on a budget”
Pros
I've worked with support team so many times and her knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond have been spectacular. She's always available to talk me through a challenge or just remind me how to do something I've forgotten. She's wonderfully patient and always gets things sorted out quickly. We've used UC for years now and we love it. Our customers are blown away by the high-tech reporting they get from us. As a small business on a tight budget, the cost can be tough but team always help make it work for us.
Cons
Connectivity is always a challenge with how much we use the system. But to be fair, that's not a problem created by UC.

“Custom value, rapid evolution”
Pros
In my experience Utility Cloud is an asset management and work order software that gives you great value. It's way less expensive than the old-school options out there and it's much easier for the average person to use and feel comfortable with. The fact that the staff�wants�to customize it for our specific projects makes it a total home run for us.
Cons
We've used Utility Cloud for over a year now and they've made a lot of enhancements and improvements in that time. They do a good job of telling us about those updates. Most of our users really like the improvements but we have a couple of people who struggle to keep up with all the changes. I think it's just inevitable that the fast pace of updates will frustrate the occasional user.
