My experience with GEM-CAR

Pros

I love how It has so many tools that help me work efficiently in the automotive industry. The team behind GEM-CAR is super responsive and always ready to help whenever I need it. It's packed with features that can really boost my business and increase productivity. Plus, I can create invoices and send them directly to customers, it's so convenient.

Cons

The user interface of this software feels a bit outdated and I think it could use an update. Also, there's no training available for new users, so if you're using it for the first time, it can be pretty confusing. It might take some time to get the hang of it. On top of that, the pricing is pretty high which is something to consider.

Full of features and possibilities

Pros

GEM-CAR lets me make the transition to digital in my business. I can do inspections on my tablet, send SMS updates, store photos and even get electronic signatures. It is easy to use and the support team is available 24/7, which is awesome. The techs are really knowledgeable. I also love that product codes get generated automatically and I can scan items directly into work orders. The inspection sheets with diagrams are a game changer, they make it so much easier to explain issues to my customers. Plus I can register tons of vehicle details, like options, tire sizes, nitrogen inflation and more. It's a huge help!

Cons

It would be great if I could send photos or videos via SMS. I'd also love to be able to link multiple codes to another code to make things more automated and speed up the process. I wish the price could be displayed directly on work orders too, so I don't have to print out a separate paper just to get my clients' signatures. Another thing is, I wish I could change the type of work order or inspection sheet more quickly, it feels a bit slow at times.

5 stars for GEM-CAR, no doubt

Pros

The simplicity of this software makes it perfect for our shop and the integrated punch system is a nice touch.

Cons

Honestly, there's nothing I dislike. Every time I have a question, someone is always there to help me out.

Excellent tool for running your shop

Pros

It's really customer-friendly. It helps me keep track of all parts, tires and customer info. It's super organized!

Solid and reliable software

Pros

We absolutely love using GEM-CAR. It's really designed to make our business more efficient. There's a lot to learn but every little thing makes a difference. GEM-University is a fantastic way to learn all the ins and outs of the system.

Cons

There's nothing we really dislike but one thing that could be better is customer service. When I call with a question, I'd prefer to stay on the line and talk to someone right away rather than leaving a message. However, when I do leave a message, they always call back quickly, which is a plus.
