“Powerful reporting”
Pros
One thing I really appreciate is how much this product can do. It works very well for preparing reports, locating items and handling much more beyond that. The range of options available feels broader than you would expect which makes it even more useful.
Cons
The only downside is that it can be a bit expensive for a company especially before being able to use it on mobile phones. Aside from that, it has been excellent.

“Support vanished after ownership change”
Pros
There was a time when this was a standout company that really backed its product, delivered dependable solutions and showed real vision. After the move to another tool and the ownership change, both the culture and the product shifted dramatically.
Cons
Once they switched to it, we ended up disabling the CRM-based solution because they were no longer able to develop or support it properly and just as importantly they seemed to lose all interest in it. The old attitude of being a partner and working through things together disappeared, replaced by constant questions about what budget we had for anything. It has been a very disappointing change and from what I have seen, others using the same product have also walked away and removed it.

“perfect Dynamics GP integration”
Pros
Right from the start the biggest advantage is how well it connects with our Dynamics GP software which is absolutely essential for us. On top of that, it handles the full range of service management really well, including service calls, service contracts and the other core pieces we rely on.
Cons
A few parts of the system especially modules like mobile workers, can get very costly. Because it's tied into Dynamics GP the overall setup is also fairly complex and needs experienced, knowledgeable people to implement and keep running properly.

“Strong integration”
Pros
Feature that really works well is how closely the job modules connect with Great Plains, along with mobile products that aren't included in the standard Microsoft GP package. Service packs, hot fixes and the different support tiers are delivered quickly and handled effectively. The vendor also maintains a great working relationship with its clients.
Cons
Over the past several years the vendor has gone through a few organizational changes.

“excellent job costing but costly customization”
Pros
Job cost accounting and field service management features are great overall and the integration with Dynamics GP is definitely a strong advantage.
Cons
Working with their consultants can be very inconsistent. You may not realize whether you have a capable one until things are already off track. While the system is powerful overall, it still falls short when it comes to certain industry-specific requirements. Those gaps often end up needing expensive customizations to make the product fit.

“Easy software with a trusted team”
Pros
It has been pretty simple and easy to use. We've been using this product for more than 8 years and the people at IT feel more like family than just a vendor.
Cons
It has seen some rushed updates over the last few years, with new features sometimes coming at the expense of existing ones. Since being acquired by another company though, it seems to have regained focus which has been a big positive.

“Posted invoice rates are too limited”
Pros
Percent-of-completion calculations work reliably and that part of the product does the job well.
Cons
Biggest frustration is how inflexible the product is. Once an invoice has been posted, billing rates can't be changed. On a cost-plus job, we're at least able to adjust the billing amounts when creating the invoice but overall the system feels too restrictive.

“Responsive team that listens”
Pros
This platform is clearly committed to its customers. There's real two-way communication and you can actually have input into how the product is developed for end users.
Cons
At times, getting a support resource can still be a bit difficult. That said, WennSoft has invested heavily in both people and funding to address this issue.
