Switched from teletrac to samsara

Pros

Used to be the best option at the time for meeting AOBRD compliance.

Cons

I had a poor experience when we decided not to renew our contract. The biggest issue was trying to get their billing department to make the correct adjustments. IT took way longer than it should have.

No customer service at all

Pros

I did not like anything about it. Because when it stopped working, I failed to contact anyone for help.

Cons

Customer service is poor as whenever I needed help, I got none at all.

I don't recommend it

Pros

If it works, it is easy to use. However, it rarely happens that it works.

Cons

The updates are slow, and they often show inaccurate vehicle locations, which causes a lot of trouble for us. And their customer is kinda nonexistent. As they never answer whenever I contact them.

Awesome, though customer service is non-existent

Pros

Two things I like the most are the layout of the reports and its accuracy.

Cons

My customer rep was amazing, but when she moved on to another position, the new rep did not even have a phone number. I have sent several emails and opened cases but got no support. And even though I have been with the company for three years, I have only spoken with her twice because email is the only way to reach her and those messages mostly get ignored.

Problematic right from the start

Pros

I really like their director administration portal because it is easy to use. But thats about it.

Cons

We have trucks leaving our base, which has great cell signal, yet our drivers failed to log into the tablet. It constantly shows trucks as offline. We keep facing connectivity issues even in areas where the cell signal is perfect. Also I wish I would read all the bad reviews before signing up. So choosing them turned out to be the worst decision. I chose them because they had no startup fees, but clearly, there is a reason they give you the equipment for free as it just doesn't work.

Dealing with this company is awful

Pros

Even though it works once in a blue moon but when it does, I like the GPS tracking and its ease of use.

Cons

The units out of nowhere stop working. Also, it is quite outdated and offers fewer reports compared to other systems.

Wouldn't suggest it

Pros

It is a good software as it lets me view my vehicles and can be customized to suit my needs. Plus, the third-party installer they hired was absolutely amazing.

Cons

We switched from another company to Teletrac because their customer service was poor and the product quality was poor. At this point, I would actually go back to our old provider. I was sold on basic features that weren't even included, like posted speed alerts. Integrations with programs like Fleetio did not work either and I confirmed the issue was with Teletrac, not Fleetio. Also I had several horrible interactions with customer service. One guy even told me he did not know what to do. The sales team took days to respond after the sale but when it came to signing the contract, it was over in minutes. Plus, the tracker that was installed was supposed to have a feature according to its specs, but it does not and the odometer readings on the platform are never accurate.
