“Transparent tracking plan”
Pros
Having a clear and transparent tracking plan has been a big plus. The platform is simple to use, support has been responsive and helpful and there's a solid range of features available.
Cons
Journey planner still feels like it hasn't been fully developed yet.

“Powerful analytics governance platform”
Pros
Instead of relying on error-prone spreadsheets, it gives us a solid analytics governance platform with one unified source of truth for tracking plans. It makes the whole data lifecycle easier to manage by offering type-safe code generation for developers and the Inspector feature adds real-time observability so schema issues can be caught before they ever reach production.
Cons
It works as a centralized tracking plan that helps remove data silos by keeping everything in a single source of truth and using type-safe code to reduce implementation mistakes. That said, getting it up and running takes a fairly big upfront time investment and the learning curve can be steep for less technical team members.

“Confident tracking across platforms”
Pros
Working with it has been a really positive experience because it helps me move fast and stay confident in our data. We used to run into mismatches between event tracking on web, iOS and Android quite often and Avo has taken that issue off the table. It is also incredibly useful when launching new product initiatives since it helps make sure the right metrics are being defined and considered right from the beginning.
Cons
The service is definitely priced at the higher end but I still see it as money well spent because of how much time and effort it saves the team. Getting event instrumentation wrong ends up costing far more in the long run so I'm very satisfied using Avo.

“Rich features”
Pros
I like how fast the team responds and how personalized their support feels. I genuinely love the product too. The UX feels very natural, the UI is responsive and it all comes together in a way that feels polished. I also haven't seen competitors offer the same full set of features that it has built by actually listening to user feedback.
Cons
A frustrating part is having to coordinate platform releases and manage branch merges. That process adds a lot of friction to development and a single bad merge can throw off the entire codebase. At the same time, I understand it's necessary if you want to keep the platforms aligned. Resolving conflicts can be tough as well.

“Fantastic user interface”
Pros
Something that really works well for me is the UI and I also appreciate how transparent the product is. It gives every team visibility into changes, newly created events and even events that may be deprecated but could still affect you or your team.
Cons
I'm still getting used to it since I'm not a technical person and work in product. Because of that, branches can be hard to navigate and merging is still a bit confusing for me. I probably just need more time with it so I can keep practicing and learning.

“Well-organized tool”
Pros
Having everything organized in one place, it's tracking plan software keeps our team aligned on analytics tracking. The structure also does a lot to guide discussions around what we want to track and how we should approach it.
Cons
There is a bit of a learning curve which is pretty common with most software and branch management across multiple platforms within a single branch could still be better. Even so, the team is very responsive to customer feedback.

“Cooperative customer success team”
Pros
Getting started with it feels user-friendly and simple and the customer success team stays very engaged throughout the rollout. They provide solid pre-onboarding and kick-off resources, then work closely with the implementation team to help make sure everything is set up successfully.
Cons
Event governance and how it connects to data quality and a tracking plan, can be difficult for a product team to fully grasp if they have not dealt with that kind of issue before.

“End-to-end tracking”
Pros
It gives us a complete framework for tracking and measurement planning from start to finish. Compared with how we handled this before, it's been a big improvement and has saved a lot of time for many people across our teams.
Cons
we'd still like more flexibility around generating reference documentation. The app lets us see a lot of detail about our tracking plans but we still need a simpler view that's easier to share with others.

“Shared event tracking”
Pros
Across teams and roles, it makes event tracking collaborative and much easier to understand. It helps eliminate the common failure points that can derail a successful tracking setup and one of its biggest advantages is that it serves as a reliable source of truth for events.
Cons
The onboarding experience and related services still have room to grow. It would also be really helpful to have a way to audit how Functions and Inspector are implemented across every source we manage in it.

“brings great value”
Pros
Following a thorough market comparison, our team chose it and quickly saw the complete end-to-end value it brings in helping us take back control of our tracking plan. The branch-based workflow, flexible pricing model, continuous monitoring tools and vendor integrations make it the standout option for data governance and collaboration.
Cons
There have been a few minor quirks in the web app but it's highly customer-focused team updates and improves things frequently. Anything I haven't liked has usually been fixed within a couple of weeks.
