Pros

Setup was incredibly quick for us and the automation has made handling compliance a lot less stressful. The AI agent is genuinely useful when it comes to drafting documents and organizing policy formatting which saves a lot of time. Another big advantage is being able to connect all of our tools like GitHub, Superbase and Google Drive and manage everything in one place. That really simplifies the whole workflow. The interface is user-friendly and the team has been very accommodating which stood out to me compared with Vanta. Overall, it's an excellent product and it has made a real difference in supporting our compliance efforts.

Cons

Most things are working really well overall. If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be around the policy side and a minor issue I ran into with email sending. I had one situation where emails were not going out properly to my team and that's the main thing I'd want improved.

Pros

Getting through SOC 2 and HIPAA readiness feels a lot less intimidating with it. It saves our team a significant amount of time, lays out a clear path to follow, keeps evidence collection well organized and helps us stay on top of requirements without needing a dedicated compliance team. On top of that, their team has been extremely responsive and involved throughout the process which has made a complicated initiative feel much more manageable and realistic. The mix of software, guidance and hands-on support has brought a lot of value to our business.

Cons

Honestly, there is very little to complain about. Like any compliance platform, there is still a bit of a learning curve at the beginning especially if your organization is new to SOC 2 or HIPAA. Some of the terminology and requirements can seem overwhelming at first but their team has done a very good job of offering guidance and answering questions along the way. Overall, the platform has made compliance far more manageable than trying to handle everything manually.

It covers everything we need to get compliant and remain compliant over time. We used it for SOC 2 Type II and honestly, we couldn't have done it without Ceel, both because of the platform itself and the support from the team.

Cons

The UI in the version we used could be confusing at times but they've already addressed that in the newer version.

After trying to find the right compliance platform for a while as a femtech founder, I honestly had a pretty bad experience with other options. My calls with Vanta and Drata left me feeling belittled, the sales reps came across with a lot of toxic masculinity, brushed off my questions and one conversation even felt openly misogynistic. It felt completely different. Right from the beginning, it came across as a safe space especially for a female non-technical founder. They listened, never made me feel foolish for asking anything and actually took the time to explain things clearly. That level of respect makes a huge difference.

Having the white-glove service made a big impact on how quickly we could handle the compliance frameworks especially since it helped us avoid a lot of the more tedious and time-consuming parts of gathering evidence.

Taking on SOC 2, ISO 27001/42001 and GDPR for the first time felt pretty overwhelming but it turned it into a simple, step-by-step process. Their team was extremely responsive and very hands-on, helping us turn the requirements into practical tasks and clearing blockers quickly. I also appreciate how the platform keeps everything organized across frameworks so we're not repeating work and the templates plus progress tracking are genuinely helpful.

Since it's still a newer product, a few parts feel a little rough around the edges but it's improving quickly.

Pros

Switching over felt incredibly simple. The whole setup already felt familiar and their team handled a huge amount of the migration work for us, including the evidence library, policies and everything else. That meant we only had to spend time on the controls that worked a bit differently and make a few adjustments there. From a user standpoint as a Security Officer / Framework Admin, we ended up with nearly the same feature set from day one, very low migration effort and truly exceptional customer support.

Cons

At the start, there were a couple of features I missed like being able to send reminders only to specific personnel and a few parts of the UI could have been more polished such as the file upload experience. Still, the number of issues was pretty small overall. The platform has been updated frequently and at this point there's nothing missing that I need. Whenever I've reported an issue, it has usually been resolved within a few days and I was never left stuck without some kind of workaround.

Pros

From the start of our SOC 2 Type 1 process and now through Type 2 socurely has felt like a genuine partner. Their team is very accessible and provides personalized support and whenever we've had questions, they've consistently responded within 24 hours. The platform includes a wide range of features, actually more than we're using at the moment. Setup was simple and connecting the tools we already rely on only took a few clicks. I check the monitoring daily, weekly or whenever I get the chance and I feel confident the data is current.

Cons

There's still room to make things better and they are clearly continuing to improve the platform's UI and overall usability.

Their AI automation is the best I've seen in the GRC industry.

There are a lot of controls and they could definitely cut some of them down.

Something that really stands out to me is how seriously this company treats data privacy. It clearly feels like a priority for them which gives me a lot of confidence in the service.

On the downside, the pricing is higher than what many competing products are charging so it can feel a bit expensive in comparison.
