“Useful features”

Pros

The Business Glossary, along with the Business Domain and Data Domain features, has been really useful.

Cons

It would be even better if more automation were added to reduce the amount of manual work.

“works in a macOS environment”

Pros

After comparing quite a few tools on the market, I ended up choosing it, mainly because I needed something that could work in a macOS environment. Even though it's fundamentally a Windows product and relies on a Wine-based setup for macOS, I still moved ahead with it. The database connectivity and reverse-engineering are done really well. It creates solid models and even better documentation which is exactly what I needed. The command-line capabilities also help me automate most of my workflow which saves a lot of time. Another big advantage is that it stores everything in an MSSQL database so I can handle bulk model updates when needed. I also appreciated being able to properly test the software without any commitment. My main use case is documenting databases and models and this product really delivers there.

Cons

A few areas still feel limited. There are no customizable Excel templates and macOS support isn't truly native since it only works through the Windows version. The E/R diagram auto-layout also stops being useful once the number of tables grows beyond a small set. Some tasks still involve a lot of tedious manual input. I'd also welcome stronger support for module management. On top of that, versioning releases and having better integration with Git or GitHub would make it much more complete.
