“Integrates well with our internal systems”
Pros
It integrates well with all of our internal systems used for reservation management which has made coordination across platforms much more smooth.
Cons
That said it still doesn't feel as powerful or as customizable as we were hoping for.

“Cloud-based system for IT teams”
Pros
Moving to it took a huge load off our IT team. It let us get rid of the hardware and software burden that had been weighing on the information side of the business for years especially in an environment where cloud technology is already the norm. After testing the platform, we were able to remove nearly all hardware needs and even the space required to maintain them. The platform also gives us the reassurance of continuous service coverage and 24/7 connectivity throughout these processes. System updates happen immediately so instead of managing them constantly, it's often enough to simply review everything at the end of the day. It can reduce workload dramatically, potentially by as much as 80%. On top of that, it's scalable, integrates well, has a user-friendly panel and interface, offers strong customer support and includes valuable business intelligence features.
Cons
The design and configuration side needs to be planned very carefully. The customer support model in particular deserves close attention and having professional third-party support can make it much easier to achieve the results you want. Clear goals need to be defined from the beginning, otherwise there is a risk of staying idle or not using the platform as effectively as possible.

“amazing machine learning capabilities”
Pros
Right from the start it felt highly user-friendly and packed with useful information. Its AI and machine learning capabilities are especially impressive and genuinely helpful when it comes to making business decisions in advance.
Cons
Overall everything worked well but the platform is fairly expensive to maintain. It also takes some time to fully learn the application since the learning curve can be longer than expected.

“broad range of data warehousing features”
Pros
Using this application has been a positive experience especially because it offers a wide range of data warehousing features. It really helps make business decision-making much more simple and manageable.
Cons
There are times when the application does not feel very user-friendly and can be fairly complex to navigate. If you do not fully understand how its features work, it becomes difficult to get the full value and benefits from the application.

“Simple to build out complex data warehouses”
Pros
Once you get the hang of the process it handles a lot of the heavy lifting which makes it simple to build out complex data warehouses pretty quickly.
Cons
At the beginning there's definitely a learning curve and the limited amount of available resources can make things tougher for a complete beginner who doesn't have access to extra guidance.

“Clean interface”
Pros
The interface looks polished for end users and becomes fairly simple to use after a short bit of training. It also feels capable and setting up new dashboards is relatively simple.
Cons
Where it gets frustrating is the integration with M3 Analytics. After updates we often have to reset things, copy data again or adjust filters which gets annoying.

“Fast warehouse rollout”
Pros
Rolling out a new warehouse with its own reports and dashboards has been one of the biggest wins for us. We've been able to get new setups in place quickly which has really helped with data governance and broader adoption across the company. Multiple departments can work in the system without affecting established business rules and that has made collaboration much easier. The reporting and dashboard features themselves are also very user-friendly so training people to build their own reports doesn't take long.
Cons
Keeping the system running well and scaling it over time does require a strong understanding of data warehouse architecture. Without that level of expertise, things can start to get messy and difficult to manage. Since our analytics team is small and doesn't have deep DW architecture knowledge, we ended up relying on Infor Birst's technical account manager program to fill that gap. It definitely helps solve the problem for lean or stretched teams but it also adds extra cost.

“saves me time”
Pros
It offers a very user-friendly interface and building dashboards feels much more simple. It removes a lot of the technical complexity from the process so you can spend more time focusing on creating the dashboard itself.
Cons
It performs really well when the data is moved into Birst but there are still some limitations when working in live environments.

“Provides deep analytical insight”
Pros
One thing this tool really delivers is deep analytical insight into online metrics and usage data. I'm not the primary person using it day to day but several of my colleagues rely on it much more heavily and get a lot of value from it. The analysis Birst provides helps shape their digital strategies and gives them meaningful direction based on the data.
Cons
I can't think of any real downsides to this tool. Birst delivers strong business analytics that help answer questions and cover data and site usage needs very well.

“Scalable program at a reasonable price”
Pros
It scales well, the pricing feels reasonable and the functionality is stronger than a lot of other platforms I've compared it with. It works nicely for both SMBs and larger enterprise environments.
Cons
After using quite a few analytics tools I'd say it is powerful and fast but it's not the simplest platform for non-technical users to pick up quickly.
