“Wonderful built-in capabilities”

Pros

Compared with my previous BI tool, this one comes with several built-in capabilities that were missing before. The time hierarchy is especially useful and I really appreciate the period-over-period comparisons that we used to have to force our old system to handle.

Cons

As a newer user the biggest challenge at this point is the learning curve. A lot of it does feel user-friendly but after using a different BI platform, I've had to retrain how I think about certain things. To be fair, that would probably happen with any system.

“Includes period-over-period analysis”

Pros

Right out of the box it includes period-over-period analysis and correlation matrices which saves a lot of setup time. The automatic export options are also really useful since data can be sent to Excel, PDF and other formats without extra effort.

Cons

some pages still don't have an undo button so fixing mistakes can be a bit harder than it should be. That said, the company has already said they're working on a solution for it.

“Satisfied user”

Pros

We're still new to it but we already love how flexible it is and how user-friendly the options are.

Cons

I haven't noticed anything that needs improvement.

“polished interface”

Pros

It feels very user-friendly thanks to its modern interface. The customer support has also been amazing whenever needed. Another big advantage is the pricing since it's very cost-effective compared with other BI tools especially if you need to support a large number of users.

Cons

Like most BI platforms it does come with a bit of a learning curve. Also, if you run into bugs or issues, you may have to wait until the next major annual release for a fix.

“Lets you build custom configurations”

Pros

Something that really stands out is how extensive the APIs are. They offer a lot of flexibility and give you plenty of room to build custom configurations based on your specific needs.

Cons

There are still a few areas that could use improvement. For example, the connection to the SSAS tabular model still relies on MDX instead of DAX. Also, exporting to Excel tends to be a bit slow when working with larger datasets.

“gives us a lot of freedom”

Pros

Getting done exactly what we need is very simple and the platform gives us the freedom to build just about anything.

Cons

It is a bit hard to understand at the beginning and with so many options available, it can occasionally take time to find the right one.

“Wonderful data preparation features”

Pros

Right away the flexibility stands out. The data preparation features are really strong and the dashboard capabilities are excellent. With it, you can handle pretty much everything related to BI and analytics thanks to how flexible the architecture is.

Cons

An area that can be frustrating is working with large tables for data visualization since it can be a bit complex. The report designer also feels somewhat outdated and isn't the most user-friendly tool to work with.
