“Stable product with great support”

Pros

The product has been very stable and using it is simple. It doesn't require any real maintenance on our side and the migration process was simple. On top of that, the technical support has been excellent.

Cons

I can't point to any real negatives. If I had to mention something, it would only be that the company is relatively small and since our usage model is fairly simple, we haven't really pushed the product to its limits.

“Extremely reliable”

Pros

Getting cache drives running across offices in two different cities was simple and they've been extremely reliable ever since. We integrated the system with our on-prem Active Directory, turned on DFS drive mapping and migrated files from our file server without much trouble. Since then, everything has been running without issues. The automatic availability of multiple file backups has bailed us out more than once.

Cons

There really isn't much to complain about. One thing that does come up occasionally especially with PDF files, is wishing we could see who currently has a read/write lock on a file the way we could in Windows Server.

“Uncomplicated setup”

Pros

Setup was not complicated and the backup process just makes sense. It's simple to make changes and the software lets you clearly see how everything is flowing. I also really like the sharing features and the restrictions you can apply to control access. The device app is another big plus since it lets you reach your cloud files when you're away from your LAN. Even better, it's still very simple to access the cloud when you don't have either of those options available.

Cons

I do wish the cloud version allowed direct downloading. It doesn't currently do that although the share feature is very useful and lets you limit what the other person is able to do. So if I need a file while I'm away from my LAN and I don't have the app installed on the PC I'm using, I usually work around it by sharing the file instead. When I'm on my LAN, it behaves just like a network drive and when I'm off the LAN, I can use the software on my laptop or Surface.

“Well-organized interface”

Pros

Found it user friendly. The interface feels well organized and the customer service has been very custom tailored to our needs which has made the overall experience even better.

Cons

There is nothing major to complain about. At times, we do run into issues keeping users connected in two of our offices but we still are not sure whether that is related to our network or something else.

“Constantly improving platform”

Pros

The product keeps getting better over time and the team seems genuinely receptive to user feedback and suggestions.

Cons

When something goes wrong, it can bring the company to a standstill so faster response times really require paying extra for a higher support tier.

“Clear web-based interface”

Pros

Implementation was very simple. The web-based interface is clear, simple to follow and didn't take much effort to configure. Connecting it to our on-premise Active Directory was also quick and worked really well.

Cons

The downside in our testing was the performance which was noticeably worse than a local file server. After reviewing it with this tool, they found that our environment had a very large number of small files. It seems their cloud caching is better optimized for fewer, larger files instead. They mentioned that a fix for this should be coming soon.

“Supports AD authentication on folders”

Pros

Setup was simple and pairing two servers together makes replication easy. It also supports AD authentication on folders which is essential in our environment and if you're not using AD, it still provides its own folder permission controls. From the user side, file access feels no different than usual although larger files can take a bit longer when they need to be fetched.

Cons

A frustration came after the initial setup, when we realized we couldn't expand the drive size without starting over. We ended up having to rebuild the NAS just to increase storage. Another downside is not being able to stop jobs once they're running especially when there's a long queue.

“Files are always available”

Pros

It's pretty simple to handle. Once the files sync to the cloud, they're available whenever I need them from anywhere, as long as I have an internet connection and a computer.

Cons

after the device stays connected to the local network for a long time, it can sometimes become unreachable on the local network. It may be related to IP address conflicts building up over time.

“Fast file sync across sites”

Pros

Just dragging and dropping files is simple and when you have multiple locations, everything syncs between them so the files are available from any site very quickly at any time.

Cons

Getting the box set up feels a little complicated at first and there's a slight learning curve when it comes to understanding how the whole process works.

“quick performance”

Pros

Using it has been very simple and the performance is fast. It works a lot like our traditional server file share so users don't have to think about conflicts or file locking issues. It keeps everything synced across our three sites without us needing to manage it which makes collaboration much easier. The cloud backup which is really the master copy, also includes versioning so we can roll back anytime if someone accidentally deletes or overwrites a file.

Cons

There have only been minor compatibility issues with parts of our workflow but the team has been putting real effort into resolving them. The AutoCAD Sheet Set Manager problems have already been fixed and the issue with our engineering software not being able to save files has been resolved too. Right now we're testing Revit worksharing and still working through that workflow.
