“Improved over the years”

Pros

It feels like a very mature product. Over the years, it has clearly improved a lot in both reliability and overall feature set. It can handle both agent-based and agentless backups and it's capable of backing up just about anything you throw at it. Replicating backups to a remote location running the same core also works well. On top of that, the support team is very solid.

Cons

Provisioning the application can be difficult and it's not especially user-friendly to set up correctly. To provision it properly for a specific environment, you really need a strong understanding of how the software works and how its functionality fits together.

“handles backups for data”

Pros

Using it has been pretty simple. It handles backups for data, Exchange and SQL well and restoring is very flexible, even down to the individual file level while keeping permissions intact. It also lets you recover specific Outlook items like emails, notes and just about anything else you might need.

Cons

Support was disappointing at first when Quest took over Rapid Recovery from Dell. Over time though, their support improved and became much better.
