“29 years of reliability”
Pros
After 29 years of using it, I can honestly say it's one of the most impressive software tools I've worked with. I'm not exaggerating when I say it is that good.
Cons
If someone has truly spent serious time working with it, it's genuinely difficult to come up with any real negatives.

“Useful integrations”
Pros
Right away, I appreciated how simple it is to move around inside the program and how quickly information is accessible. The built-in tips and integrated features are genuinely helpful and make things much easier for the user. The way data presentations can be customized is also a strong point since it adapts well to different contexts. Another big advantage is the excellent integration with SAS tools as well as third-party software which makes it possible to create real synergy across different systems and get much more value from the data. It also does a fairly good job handling large volumes of data.
Cons
The customization side could still be improved. Giving users more freedom would make it easier to align reports with the company's brand identity.

“Well designed graphical interface”
Pros
The graphical interface is well designed and simple to use. There are plenty of data visualization options and the suggested ones give you a solid starting point for customizing charts, visualizations and reports.
Cons
It can be slow when loading dashboards and when building custom charts especially when working with large volumes of data.

“Handles large data volumes well”
Pros
It lets you view and explore data in an user-friendly, interactive way, including information already processed on other SAS platforms. It handles very large data volumes well and can also take advantage of parallel computing. That feature is not exactly cheap to implement but it saves a considerable amount of time. The parallel processing is powered by high-performance analytics. With its user-friendly interface, the software displays data in different formats such as summary tables and geospatial maps. It also allows the creation of customized reports and interactive dashboards which make analyses clearer and easier to understand. The reports you build are simple to export and share with external teams. It also supports data import and can receive data from multiple sources which is essential when putting together complete reports on the same topic based on analyses carried out by different teams or in different environments.
Cons
Overall, I think the software is complete enough and well suited to what it is designed to do. The user-side interface customization could be improved but aside from that, I'm satisfied with it.

“Detailed, tailored reports”
Pros
An advanced tool for data analysis and visualization. It handles very large volumes of data well and with SAS LASR Analytic Server it can take advantage of in-memory processing to improve both calculation performance and the execution of analyses. The data visualization options are wide-ranging, including charts and interactive tables and they are fairly simple to customize. It also makes it possible to build detailed, tailored reports that help present analysis results in a clear way. Another valuable feature is the geospatial analytics capability which lets you incorporate geographic data into your analysis through interactive maps and geocoding tools.
Cons
The software includes text mining and statistical analysis features but they are not really on the same level as the tools available in other integrated SAS products such as SAS Text Miner or SAS Enterprise Guide. Because of that, users may end up needing to pay for additional licenses to carry out complete and more advanced statistical analysis.

“simple for everyone”
Pros
Whether you're a statistician or not, the software feels user-friendly across the board. It uses a point-and-click approach that makes navigation simple and it also includes its own scripting language for added flexibility.
Cons
The biggest downside is the cost of using and maintaining it. Like most SAS products, it tends to be quite expensive.

“Fantastic predictive analytics feature”
Pros
It is very user-friendly to use, even if setting it up is much more complicated. The software makes working with data feel simple and it offers many different ways to display information through tables and various types of charts. That makes it easier both to understand the available data and to build reports that fit the activities being carried out. It also lets you create interactive dashboards which are really useful for viewing and comparing different performance metrics, even in real time. On top of that, those metrics can be tracked live through alerts. There is also a predictive analytics feature based on machine learning algorithms that helps analyze future trends starting from historical data.
Cons
One of the biggest pain points with this software is how complicated the installation process is especially when it comes to configuring servers and licenses. During daily use, I also ran into difficulties managing and integrating external data sources and at times I had to import data manually which ended up costing a lot of time.

“Customized reports”
Pros
A business intelligence tool that lets you build customized reports and dashboards, while also handling basic data analysis to monitor KPIs and support management with business decisions. One of the most useful parts is being able to view data in an aggregated and personalized way with relative simplicity especially thanks to features like drag and drop when creating interactive reports or dashboards. Reports can also be exported in different formats without much effort and shared with the relevant stakeholders. It's also possible to track KPIs and set alerts when critical thresholds are reached which helps keep performance updates available in real time.
Cons
The statistical analysis you can perform directly inside the software is fairly limited. If you need more advanced analysis, you have to rely on additional tools, ideally from the SAS family for better integration such as SAS Studio.

“Interactive charts and tailored reports”
Pros
It is very much built around the data visualization side of analysis. The data loaded into the platform can be explored through interactive tables and a wide range of chart types, all with a high level of customization. That makes it possible to create data presentation reports or analysis reports that are really tailored to specific needs. On top of the visualization features, SAS Visual Analytics also includes basic analysis tools that allow for a solid initial exploration of the data, with the option to perform some data cleaning as well.
Cons
I haven't noticed any major flaws. It meets expectations and feels user-friendly to use especially for people who are already comfortable with data analysis topics.

“Perfect tool for advanced data visualization”
Pros
This is definitely a strong tool for BI and advanced data visualization. It can pull data from different sources and, thanks to its data wrangling features, lets users clean and prepare the data before moving on to analysis and visualization. There are plenty of visualization options available and they can be customized in many ways. It also gives you the ability to combine data into a dashboard or an interactive report which makes it much easier to get an overall view and share insights across the company.
Cons
It is designed to work with large volumes of data but not without some difficulty. The software becomes less responsive as the amount of data being used increases.
