Blessing and a game changer

Pros

I have been using BenefitPoint for over ten years and it's made managing our client base so much easier than the system we used before. We honestly would not be able to manage our clients without it. Since it integrates with our customer system on the property and liability side, we get a full picture of our clients. Their customer service has also been really helpful along the way.

Cons

We have been wanting to use the RFP module but unfortunately, the carriers in our market refuse to use it. Because of that, it has not been useful for us.

Outstanding tool

Pros

This platform is a great way to keep track of our client data. It helps us build RFPs, delegate tasks more effectively and gives our team the information they need to do their jobs well.

Cons

So far I haven't come across anything I dislike about BenefitPoint. It's been working well for our team.

Essential work tool

Pros

I like how BenefitPoint lets us enter all of our client and policy information. We can pull that data easily from the daily data extract, which keeps everything accessible.

Cons

One thing that has been a bit frustrating is how difficult it is to get enhancement requests created and approved. It's not a quick process.

Perfect solution for us

Pros

I really appreciate how it covers everything we need for managing employee benefits accounts. It feels like a complete solution.

Cons

We have had trouble trying to modify the short description on activities. It doesn't seem to be very flexible or easy to adjust.

So useful for us

Pros

I use the business intelligence reports and commission tracking tools regularly, and they've been a big help for our processes.

Cons

Sometimes there's duplication in both plan and product lines, which can get confusing when reviewing data.

Reliable, solid and user-friendly system

Pros

Making updates to plans and products is very simple with this one. I don't have to spend extra time navigating a complicated system, so helpful.

Cons

Right now, I can only create one plan at a time. I also wish the search function was a little more advanced to help speed things up.

Good reporting capabilities

Pros

Since I use BenefitPoint for accounting, I really like the reporting tools. They show me everything I need in one view, which is super convenient.

Cons

I think the E-statement feature needs some work. It could definitely be improved to make it more effective and userfriendly.

Amazing system and market leader

Pros

As someone handling admin tasks, I found it very easy to use. I was able to get started without much prior knowledge and the system felt familiar right away. Whenever I have had questions, the support team at Vertafore has always been helpful.

Cons

I wish I could at least view the firm settings, even if I can't make any changes. It's not a huge issue since I can get the info from our support team, but having direct access would be helpful.

Great for posting Direct Bill Commissions

Pros

Entering direct bill commissions is simple and quick, which helps me stay on top of things.

Cons

It would be nice if the system could handle more data when running large reports. The current limits make things slower than they need to be.

Solid tool very helpful

Had a wonderful experience

Pros

So surprised at how simple the interface is. I didn't need any in depth training to find the information I needed, which made getting started a breeze.

Cons

I found the basic functions pretty simple to understand but once I started exploring more advanced features, there was definitely a learning curve.

Solution for benefits management systems

Pros

BenefitPoint is really easy to use and makes sense from the start. It's intuitive and efficient. I also like that it integrates with AMS360 so we don't have to enter the same information twice. The Vertafore support team has been excellent.

Cons

One downside is that BenefitPoint doesn't connect with other agency management systems. That makes it harder to work across different platforms.

Best system for managing employee benefits

Pros

What made us move from AMS360 to BenefitPoint was the ability to track income. That feature alone made it worth switching because it was very helpful for us.

Cons

I don't like that there is no built in accounting system. We had to integrate it with something else and that integration hasn't worked very smoothly for us.

Still figuring in out

Pros

It's really nice being able to track commissions using a system that's actually built for that purpose. It just makes everything more efficient.

Cons

Compared to the way we currently handle commissions, it does take more time. That said, the tracking is much more reliable so I think it's worth it.
