simple and user-friendly

Pros

I really like how simple it is to use. Even new hires comment on how user friendly it feels. Also I like that when someone requests time off, it pops up right away and notifies me since I am the one building the schedule.

Cons

It notifies me when my shift is starting, even on days I am not actually scheduled. Besides that it's a great tool.

easy to navigate but glitchy clock features

Pros

Both our hourly team members and managers find the Humanity and TCP mobile app really easy to navigate.

Cons

Sometimes the clock-in/out and break features can be a bit glitchy. Like I will see employees punch in or out and it appears to register at first, but later it does not show them as on shift when it's time for a break.

Average and demo is deceiving

Pros

Our employees love being able to check their shifts from anywhere using the app. The website is also really clear and visually organized.

Cons

The demos make everything look effortless but the reality is often different. Uploading schedules hardly ever works for us and we usually end up entering everything by hand which takes forever.

user-friendly with an amazing support

Pros

What stands out most to me about Humanity is how user-friendly the platform is but the customer support truly shines especially being able to get help directly through Teams.

Cons

My least favorite thing about it is that it is not very easy to use for beginners. Some of that might be because my company did not offer enough training before we started using it.

Needs improvement when it comes to timesheets

Pros

The message board is a handy feature and it is great that team members can claim open shifts right in the app.

Cons

Confirming timesheets feels like too much work as there are just too many steps to get everything finalized.

pretty easy to use

Pros

It is pretty easy to use. I like the timeline view and the shift history though I wish it showed which team members worked or were removed from a shift.

Cons

In position view, the lines between rows and columns are so faint it's hard to tell where one ends and another begins. So I feel like it would help if they were darker. Also what are ghost shifts? I have not found any explanation. Also shift colors could be more distinct too.

Impressive regional rule setup

Pros

I was impressed with how you can set up separate accounts to match different regional rules like how overtime gets calculated depending on the province.

Cons

We could not add extra premiums or custom calculations, but we were able to manually enter work units.

Responsive support but frustrating format changes

Pros

Well I really value how easy it is to get in touch with Humanity support whenever I need clarification or help as they are always responsive and clear.

Cons

I have had to use four different schedule formats because every couple of months, it stops accepting the one I used before. It is pretty frustrating but the support team has always been helpful. I also wish there was a way to delete multiple staff or locations at once.

Managing everything on my own is easy

Pros

Being able to manage my schedule straight from my phone with the app is so convenient. And if I need to make any changes, I can handle everything right there on the go.

Cons

It is annoying that the app makes it look like you are late, even though we don't use it for clocking in.

Flexible and easy to customize

Pros

I love how flexible it is as we can personalize so much based on what our agency needs. Also it is user-friendly and simple to navigate and the chat support is great. Any issues I have get sorted out in just a few minutes.

Cons

At times it glitches a lot which makes it hard to trust the schedule. Also sometimes shifts or assigned staff just disappear.

Fairly easy to use and adaptable

Pros

It is fairly easy and simple to use. The best thing is that it adapts smoothly to any schedule or project changes I need to make.

Cons

The shift planning section sometimes crashes especially when I am trying to add a new schedule.

poor communication and navigation

Pros

The schedule selection works well and the app has a clean, nice-looking design.

Cons

Communication is not great like texts and emails are too vague and messages come from different numbers, so it's hard to keep track. The notification dot disappears for all messages once you open one, so I lose track of what I have read. The app is confusing to navigate too, there is no way to see which shift requests were declined and the calendar treats Saturday as the start of the week which does not make sense.

scheduling is very easy

Pros

With it, it is pretty easy to schedule my shifts and check which ones I already have. The mobile app is really helpful too.

Cons

I wish it loaded faster and automatically hid shifts I am not allowed to schedule. Sometimes old shifts stay visible even though I cannot assign them.

Not much to like

Pros

There is not much I like about this tool that I feel like is worth mentioning.

Cons

When I get a text saying my manager added something to my schedule, it does not include any details. I have to search through months to find the change. It would help if it included the date.

Great for conflict prevention

Pros

I like how Humanity helps management when there is a conflict with staff picking up shifts. It keeps per diem staff from accidentally double-booking and leaving a site understaffed.

Cons

Well I don't like that when staff try to pick up double shifts, the system does not always let them cover the full time they are there, often leaving what looks like a gap in the schedule.
