“overpriced payroll
Pros
there isn't much to praise. The onboarding is confusing with very little guidance and both payroll processing and report generation feel awkward and congested.
Cons
Customer support was a major disappointment. I was given incorrect information that sent me in the wrong direction when trying to submit payroll and then they more or less left me to sort it out on my own. That completely defeats the purpose of paying for payroll software in the first place. Between the high cost, poor support and congested system, it just wasn't worth the time or money. I gave it two seasons hoping things would improve but it never really worked out.

“Found reporting glitches
Pros
Being cloud-based is a plus and the security is solid. Managing employees is fairly simple and handling ROEs is simple as well. It covers most of the core payroll and HR functions you'd expect reasonably well.
Cons
Support has been the biggest letdown. They tend to promise more than they actually deliver and even when they do get involved and sound confident, they often set timelines or their own deadlines for fixes and then disappear without follow-through. Report generation is also pretty glitchy. It's difficult to verify that payroll balances properly before sending it over to accounting software. Time-off management is weak, notifications refuse to work properly and there's no integration with MS Teams.

“tax filing convenience
Pros
Switching from QuickBooks Payroll to this software made a lot of sense once we outgrew what QuickBooks could handle and the transition was pretty organized. We moved over in the middle of the year and entering our historical payroll data was very simple. One of the biggest benefits is that it handles tax submissions for us and being able to file ROEs directly in it instead of setting up a separate ROE Web account is a huge plus.
Cons
They can improve manual payroll entry. It would help if the system automatically calculated the employer portion as well, since it's a direct calculation and currently we have to work it out and enter it ourselves. That feels like something it should be able to do, especially since it already calculates those amounts during regular payroll processing.
