“Personalized but massively overpriced
Pros
I value the personalization options. The fact that I can customize the product's look and add my own logo makes it feel unique to my brand and helps me maintain a consistent image.
Cons
To be honest I think it's massively overpriced for what it does and I can just use Hangouts for a tiny fraction of the price.

“efficient solution that saves time
Pros
The functionality to record meetings has greatly improved my workflow. It increases efficiency by allowing me to focus more on the conversation and less on note-taking while providing a reliable record for accurate review and clarification afterward.
Cons
When the connection cuts out its annoying because I have to reconfigure everything and it can really make an interview feel awkward.

“Handy but the message gets lost
Pros
I've been using the Capture feature alongside my LinkedIn connections and I find it really handy for what I need.
Cons
It's not always obvious to the people I send it to that the message I'm sharing is actually a video.

“Needs better connection and video repair
Pros
For me it trims down the time everyone spends during the process and I appreciate that it allows real face-to-face interaction with candidates.
Cons
I find the connection can be unreliable at times and I wish there was a feature to stitch together videos that may have dropped out partway through a call.

“Tough start.... great support later
Pros
I appreciate that the platform gives candidates a genuine chance to showcase themselves to clients who may have overlooked them in the past because of a thin or misleading CV.
Cons
It wasn't properly explained to us and we were pretty much left to figure things out on our own but since our account was handed over to their support rep who is consistently available to assist and things have significantly improved.

“A fresh way to connect
Pros
This is such a fresh, human way to reach candidates compared to the usual templated recruiter messages. Ive noticed that recording a short, captured video where they can see and hear me..brings me much better engagement and far more genuine replies. It builds a connection before the conversation even starts and makes outreach feel personal, not transactional.
Cons
Occasionally I run into glitches when I try to record and it will sometimes freeze or behave oddly during captures.

“A nice extra but not a sales tool
Pros
I've noticed the platform's video interview/application feature for job candidates. It's becoming increasingly common among our clients and competitors and I genuinely expect it to become a standard part of application processes going forward.
Cons
In my experience pushing this as a business development tool has not worked for us and based on what I've heard from industry contacts, it doesn't seem to be particularly effective elsewhere either. It's certainly a useful extra to mention when talking with clients and I think it's a positive addition. That said asking consultants to send roughly 25 videos per week to prospective clients proved to be poor return on investment for our team.

“makes hiring so much faster
Pros
The primary reason I have managed to charge Odro as an extra percentage alongside my retained search fees is that using it in place of the initial interview makes hiring quicker and more efficient, substantially cutting down overall time-to-hire.
Cons
I don't have any major complaints about the platform, however, I've watched colleagues run interviews directly with candidates and clients and they would find it helpful to be able to watch the interview unfold as an anonymous viewer.

“Useful and interactive to use
Pros
It has been incredibly handy when running interviews with candidates because it's so interactive that virtually anyone can pick it up without needing a tutorial. I also appreciate the ability to display a candidate's CV alongside their video during solo interviews, it gives the materials a very professional, polished feel when I share them with hiring managers today.
Cons
A downside I've faced is that nearly all of my recent candidate videos get rejected on the first submission with a message about "possible quality issues," which ends up frustrating candidates. Usually when they record a second time everything uploads and processes correctly so it's confusing and creates an unnecessary extra step for applicants.

“Very user-friendly after a few fixes
Pros
the app is very user-friendly,.. clean and super easy to get around without any guesswork. And the helpful tip videos really make a difference as they're short, relevant and show exactly how to make the most of features which speeds up learning and helps me work smarter. Its clear the design is focused on a smooth experience from start to finish.
Cons
at first I ran into a few hiccups while recording captures but I managed to get them all fixed now.

“clean and clear dashboard
Pros
I appreciate the dashboard's layout because it's clean and easy to follow, the step-by-step instructions candidates get during the solo interview stages are clear and helpful and I can use it easily across different devices like mobile without problems.
Cons
On the consultant back end I noticed it's a bit 'clicky' at first but I feel that's mainly a familiarity thing rather than an actual flaw in the product.

“Great recording tools
Pros
One thing I really like is the shortlist feature, how simple the interface is, the meeting recording option and that external participants don't have to install any third-party apps.
Cons
I have noticed the connection isn't consistently reliable and a handful of bugs crop up from time to time also the recording feature could use several additional options to be more useful.

“Better for personal outreach
Pros
I can understand why some people appreciate this tool, it delivers solid functionality, clear recording quality and a simple interface that's simple to use. It works especially well for a personal touch when reaching out to one or two contacts or to someone I've already interacted with making conversations feel more natural and direct.
Cons
When I am trying to reach a large group, using this becomes repetitive and eats up a lot of time. After comparing conversion rates between plain text outreach and odros, I've actually seen stronger cold-message-to-lead results from written messages. On a personal level I'd prefer to get a written note because I can read it at my convenience, revisit it later and reread details. Having to handle that information as a video would frustrate me and less efficient.

“doesn't connect well
Pros
this software as a way to reach out and the sense of "closeness" it brings to day-to-day business interactions. The Capture feature is simple and easy to operate.
Cons
Compatibility with many of the other tools and platforms we rely on is pretty weak, I can only send a link rather than a preview which is a real limitation. For instance, when I share something on LinkedIn, Bullhorn or Xing, recipients just see the raw URL instead of any contextual preview and a lot of people won't click on links from strangers. In practice, the only really positive replies I've received came from contacts I already had a relationship with or from people I'd warned in advance that I was about to send a video. Also, the interview feature fails for several of our clients because their internal security software blocks access to the meeting rooms so they can't log in.

“simple business development tool
Pros
For business development I rely on Odro's Capture tool because it's simple and brings a fresh approach compared with the usual emails and cold calls. Rather than sending generic outreach I can film directly while browsing a prospect's website, point out specific spots that could be improved and tailor my pitch to show how we might achieve stronger results.
Cons
So far I have notrun into any aspects of the tool that bother me. To be fair I haven't been using it for a huge stretch of time but in my experience it performs exactly as promised and does what the team said it would do.

“easy to record and access
Pros
I love that I can record and it's really simple to access the recordings.
Cons
it fails to work when users don't have the necessary permissions, when their software version is incompatible and it can also be picky about certain mobile browsers.

“Meeting rooms work perfectly
Pros
I open meeting room instantly without logging in and it closes fast with no awkward lag, audio and video are clear and I can pick which window to share.
Cons
The solo interview frustrates me a little though I can't say precisely why (apologies for the vague feedback)
