Pros

easy shift and late alerts

Pros

What I appreciate most about Parim is how it lets me organise and schedule employees' shifts and rotas with ease. I also value that Parim nudges team members if they're running late for a shift or forget to clock in, which saves me from chasing people down.

Cons

I honestly can't think of any major downsides to it, overall it's a solid tool that I believe every company ought to look into.

Easy, fast but trust issues

Pros

this app is incredibly easy to use, it runs quickly and has been dependable for me. In my experience, it includes nearly all of the top features you'd expect from a scheduling app in this space.

Cons

When our team needed everyone to be able to view each other's shifts, I discovered that the only way to make that happen was to give every employee permission to edit everyone else's schedules. We ran things that way for three years based on trust but I always worried that someone might accidentally or intentionally erase the entire schedule, since that risk is ever present.

Pros

I'm really impressed with how well it handles employee scheduling, keeps tabs on work hours and organizes timesheets.

Cons

So far, I haven't found any feature that I dislike.

Friendly and constantly improving

Pros

When we were comparing workforce management platforms, every other vendor felt overly technical and system-focused. In our decision we were looking for a platform that invites users in, offers friendly, approachable features and still delivers tangible outcomes. What stands out about PARIM is its constant commitment to enhancements that not only improve our setup but also benefit the broader set of companies using the platform. I appreciate that we gain from the collective feedback and creative ideas of fellow PARIM customers.

Cons

Occasionally system updates disrupt the way we currently operate inside the platform. Even so, I find that these issues are typically resolved quickly or there are simple workarounds available in a short time.

Saved time but clock needs fixing

Pros

Using the schedule, people management and pay-and-charge tools has dramatically cut down our workload and made us far more productive as a team. It's allowed us to focus on the more important parts of our roles and has saved us a lot of time and money

Cons

I find that the time clock in the pay-and-charge area could be more precise and needs improvement.

best for staff

Pros

how simple and user-friendly the whole system is, everything is laid out in a way that's easy to read and use. Because it's so clear and uncomplicated, my team required almost no training to get up to speed and using it feels very interactive and low-effort.

Cons

On the financial side of things, I frequently get frustrated with the lack of flexibility for handling expenses the way we actually operate. We almost never pay the exact same amount that we bill for an expense, yet there's no way to separate billing from payment. For example, when we reimburse mileage or issue a bonus to an employee, we charge our clients a higher amount, but the system doesn't let me mark an expense as bill-only without creating a payable. I end up keeping a separate list to track which clients should be charged and then manually add those expenses to their invoices. What we really need is a clear distinction between billable expenses and payable expenses so I don't have to use workarounds. Another recurring annoyance is how notes are handled across shifts within the same group. Recently I reported a situation where three of our caregivers were assigned the exact same shift at the same facility and the notes entered for one shift automatically showed up on all three shifts. We had documented a higher pay rate for one caregiver for payroll reasons and our scheduler got approval from the facility to bill a higher rate for a different caregiver, but because notes were shared across all three entries there was no reliable way to tell which caregiver each note referred to. To fix this, there should be an option to make shift notes private so they aren't shared with the caregiver and notes added to a specific shift should stay attached only to that shift instead of propagating to others.

Misses key tools unless you pay more

Pros

At the point of purchase, we were convinced the software would handle everything we'd require, but only later did I discover that wasn't true unless you are prepared to shell out a lot more money. Honestly, this is the kind of review I really wish I'd seen before committing and moving everything over to Parim.

Cons

We uncovered a problem with the user permissions and raised it with Parim. Instead of addressing the issue, they treated it like a chance to jack up prices and lock our account into higher-cost plans. We feel completely let down, extremely unhappy as customers and it's obvious they couldn't care less about our situation.

Easy for event shift planning

Pros

Recently I started using it to handle our catering company's event teams and their shift rotas. Getting up and running was surprisingly fast and simple and creating events and assigning people to shifts is simple. With it I can lock in our regular core crew and then open up extra shifts that other team members can apply for. Because the majority of my staff work out in the field rather than in an office, the mobile app is handy, they can pick up available shifts and check their upcoming schedules on the go.

Cons

I do feel the app could use more functionality, though I understand improvements are in progress. While it's possible to export all the reports as CSV files and then import them into other platforms, I would like to see more easy automated integrations and synchronisation. Ideally there would be one-click connections to accounting and invoicing systems so data flows without manual transfers.

Simple, shared and helps a lot

Pros

Among the features I appreciate are shared access, individual logins, timesheets and various facilities, the apps are super interactive and simple. I absolutely enjoy using it.

Cons

I honestly have no complaints because I'm genuinely impressed with how Parim operates. It simplifies my routine a lot and I can keep everything organized thanks to Parim's help.

Great for finding coverage gaps

Pros

this platform is incredibly simple for planning our rotas, allowing me to quickly identify any coverage gaps and to analyse staffing needs when preparing for upcoming recruitment drives.

Cons

Sometimes it takes a while to retrieve the backend data I need before I can make full use of all the features.

good choice for retail teams

Pros

We've relied on it to handle our staff, their rotas and time off across our retail group for several years now. Getting started and putting schedules together was quick and easy with PARiM, which made allocating shifts far simpler. With its fast, sortable and essentially unlimited database, I can manage our flexible staff pool in seconds. Running staff across multiple locations is much quicker and less complicated and it gives me a solid overview of staffing levels and costs. Using the apps, team members can view current, past and future shifts and see gross pay per shift, so we receive far fewer pay and holiday queries.

Cons

I'm aware it's not free software and it could be ideal if it offered direct integration with payroll systems. That said, I find it excellent value for money and the PARiM team's support is outstanding.

excellent support and tools for big teams

Pros

PARiM's customer support is absolutely unmatched. Even when I'm in a different timezone or country, they still respond to my questions quickly. The interface is clean and very simple to use. For a large company with more than 300 employees, we needed software that was interactive but also packed with the functionality we'd require and it gives us a wide range of tools while remaining simple to use. My team actually enjoys using the mobile app because they can pull up their schedules on the go and everyone gets alerted on their phones when shifts change so there really is not an excuse to miss an update. This has been especially helpful for staff who are students and have hectic schedules, they don't have time to learn complex new systems, so having something easy and effective makes a big difference.

Cons

I don't have many complaints about it overall. My only real con is that some optional modules, like SMS messaging and other add-ons, are sold separately and come with extra charges, which I wish were included in the base package.

Packed with every tool we needed

Pros

I went through demos of many systems before my company ultimately picked it and honestly it does what it promises really well. It packs in every piece of functionality we needed and then some. Employee records are surprisingly flexible we even store shoe size in a field. The system can be kept simple or ramped up to advanced features depending on what's required. We particularly enjoy the open shifts capability because it makes covering every shift much easier.

Cons

We'd like to see the open shifts feature become more dynamic by adjusting pay and charge rates based on how close the shift is. At the moment there isn't a clear scaling for urgency, so rates don't reflect how soon someone takes a shift. That tweak would fit our operational needs better and I think the Parim team could add that customization to suit our company's specific requirements.

Truly simple for staff at many sites

Pros

What I like most is how simple it is to use genuinely simple, which is tough to pull off in software design. Administration is a breeze and the mobile app is interactive for staff, working across all of their smartphones. The GPS plus time-and-date stamping fits our needs perfectly since my team often works at several sites in a single day. Recordkeeping is solid, although it doesn't set the product apart.

Cons

it's hard for me to point to any real shortcomings. If I had to nitpick, the report writer's visuals are fairly basic but that hasn't affected our operations, so it feels like a minor gripe.

Great colour-coded view

Pros

I'm really fond of it and we rely on several of its modules in our day-to-day operations. One thing that stands out for me is the colour-coding for positions, absences and certificates, which makes it easy over time to glance and understand the current status of everything. We also appreciate that it gives us flexibility per site or event to either assign shifts directly, let staff apply for them, or combine both approaches.

Cons

I'm actually hard-pressed to find anything negative about it. Whenever we've suggested features, they tended to show up in newer releases really fast. Lately we asked them to add a few enhancements to the subcontractor module and they've already begun building those improvements, which I appreciate.

Ticked all boxes and support was great

Pros

For us, it has ticked every box and their support team has been exceptionally helpful. We really appreciate the colour-coding and the automated communications features because they free up a huge amount of administrative time, cutting down on emails and phone calls. We're gradually adopting more parts of the platform and I'm confident it will meet our needs as our business expands.

Cons

Whenever we came up with ideas for extra features, they were usually implemented swiftly in the next release, which was impressive.

Freed up more time than expected

Pros

it was a pleasant surprise because it turned out to be much more user-friendly than I'd anticipated and frees up time in ways I didn't expect, such as sending messages to my team and sharing their rotas. Initially I thought it would simply speed up staff scheduling, but in practice it handles far more tasks and simplifies lots of day-to-day coordination.

Cons

I've noticed the check-call feature can be a bit unpredictable at times and I'd really like an option that shows which employees live within a specific radius of client locations so I can allocate shifts more efficiently.
