“User-friendly with powerful PEERS tools
Pros
Payfactors is user-friendly and has powerful tools. As part of the PEERS program, we rely on it to improve our compensation processes. Since we are a smaller business, I often use the Quick Job search feature. Also the transition was smooth for our leadership and they appreciate being able to dive into filters to see detailed pay data and benchmarking insights.
Cons
We are a small team and I have to be thoughtful about pricing. The system seems like it's built for much larger organizations and has a lot of features we don't currently need.

“Impressive data continuously improving
Pros
It is very easy to use and the amount of data is impressive. Plus they keep improving and finding new ways to deliver accurate information which makes our jobs much easier.
Cons
I do feel their international data coverage is lacking and could be expanded to better meet our needs.

“Comprehensive data but bad interface
Pros
One thing I like is the HR Market Analysis dataset as it's extremely comprehensive. I have also noticed the platform is getting stable over time.
Cons
The peer data has not grown as much as I hoped, though it's still fairly useful. Also the interface has not changed much and could be more user friendly. For example, I cannot see data details on the pricing screen unless I hover over a job title which feels awkward and I rarely hear from customer support to check in on how things are going.

“Quick price finds competitive data
Pros
I really like Payfactors quick price feature as it makes finding competitive salary data simple, without having to search through other websites or unreliable sources. I also find the sites design user friendly and easy to navigate.
Cons
To me the information often feels too generalized and a bit limited. Some sections include details I don't really need, while other everyday job titles are inexplicably missing. It's odd, for example, that there's a quick price entry for a Room Reservationist but nothing listed for a Marketer that doesn't sit right with me.

“everything consolidated :)
Pros
What I really like is having everything consolidated such as my job descriptions, employee records and market data are all stored in one spot. Like I no longer have to jump between several data sources which has made my work significantly simpler and less time-consuming. On top of that rolling it out was a simple task. Like it was essentially plug-and-play, exactly the kind of hassle-free implementation I look for in workplace software.
Cons
One drawback is that we carry a few roles that are pretty specific to our organization and I don't always find a perfect match in the system. That said whenever I'm stuck, customer support steps in and gives really useful suggestions about alternative titles or approaches that might work.

“Central job descriptions with surveys
Pros
For our team, having all job descriptions in one central place is good. As it makes it easy for everyone to access and review it. Plus the ability to upload our own surveys and link specific roles to pay data has also been invaluable for how we manage compensation.
Cons
My only real complaint so far is the way role signatures are handled as it's essentially all or nothing when we roll roles out for signature and people end up getting a new updated link every time something changes. Umm I wish there were more admin-level controls so I could pick who needs to sign, stagger releases or stop updates from constantly regenerating links.

“user-friendly with simple data imports
Pros
I'm genuinely impressed by how user friendly the whole interface is. Overall the system is really easy to navigate and I can move between sections without any hassle. What I also like is how simple it is to import all the survey data I've been collecting recently.
Cons
The job description routing feature is not the best. As after the routing is established, I can't add another approver or modify an existing one which is really limiting. Yes there's a collaborate feature available but it doesn't offer the same flexibility or replace that missing functionality.

“Quality data without expensive surveys
Pros
Payfactors brings together a lot of quality market data from many industries which makes it easy for smaller organizations like mine to access insights without buying expensive salary surveys. I also like that it can pull in third-party surveys if we ever choose to use them. We recently finished Job Data Management onboarding with our Payscale rep and the process went better than we expected. Our rep spent a lot of time supporting us and advocating on our behalf. Payscale has also been quick to respond whenever we have had questions or issues while trying to get the most out of the tool. That level of support has really helped us adopt the system and trust the results it gives us.
Cons
Coming from an organization that used Marketpay, I noticed a fairly steep learning curve when moving between the two platforms. I found myself missing the level of detail and the scalability that Marketpay provided. So it would be really helpful to have simple documentation that directly compares the two products highlighting where they overlap and where their capabilities differ so teams transitioning between them can more quickly understand the practical differences.

“Upload salaries to spot anomalies
Pros
I like being able to upload our employees salary information because it lets me compare against industry pay levels and swiftly spot any pay anomalies.
Cons
Sometimes the peer data feels limited usually because of our companys size and location when we are trying to find a good match for benchmarking. That said, I can always expand the search to include more cities.

“Easy access with great training
Pros
For most of us, one of the biggest reasons we like Payfactors is how easy it is to access and use. When we need to set up or use new features, it's usually simple. Also there are not many parts that are hard to navigate just the few that feel a bit technical are mostly backend integrations we rarely deal with. We use it regularly, their customer support is great and we really appreciate the free conferences and affordable training sessions that help us grow as HR professionals.
Cons
The price is on the higher side but it doesn't kill the deal for us since we get excellent value for the money. honestly, it's worth every penny we spend.

“Training is very helpful
Pros
Since switching to Payfactors, the training resources they've provided have been extremely useful for learning and getting the most out of the system. The wide range of features lets us tailor the compensation experience to our organization.
Cons
Although there's a learning curve for those of us migrating from PayScales, I believe it's a stronger setup for our organization and I'm looking forward to using it fully over the coming months.

“Powerful features with proactive training
Pros
Payfactors is powerful and full of features so much so that we are not even using everything it can do yet. Their customer support is outstanding too and they are always offering to train us on modules we have not fully adopted.
Cons
I would not call it a downside but it's just that there is a lot of work involved in setting up the system correctly to make sure my data is integrated accurately.

“Easy navigation
Pros
It is to navigate whether you are new to it or more experienced. Their how-to guides are genuinely helpful, customer support is easy to reach and I appreciate that they listen and respond when I suggest improvements.
Cons
Some features only work well if you already know how to use them. Though the guidance is there, but it can be hard to find since most help articles and training are focused on Marketpay.
