The best thing is that I can quickly locate the salary range for a given job description.

Lately, I've been trying to figure out whether and how I can print a pricing project's report.

“Handy export but less user-friendly
Pros
The system includes an export function which is very handy for pulling data out when I need it.
Cons
We find it far less user-friendly compared to some of the systems we used before. For instance viewing and especially accessing or editing our benchmarked jobs is more difficult now and things ran more smoothly when we had a dedicated customer representative assigned to us.

“needs real-time salary updates
Pros
Having access to the data is useful and it's great to know that the information has been vetted.
Cons
Personally, I find the specialty data a bit limited and I wish there were more real-time salary updates available.

“Configure once, refreshes automatically
Pros
One thing I really appreciate is that I can configure pricing projects just once and then the information keeps refreshing automatically.
Cons
I find uploading the data a bit tedious and the AI requires some tweaking before it works the way I want.

“remarkable colors, simple dashboard
Pros
The dashboard is really easy to use and the color scheme is quite remarkable.
Cons
Honestly this one's on us as we have not been using it as much as we could and I know there is more value we are missing out on.

“Simple price matching with survey imports
Pros
Payfactors makes price matching simple. It is also very helpful that they have a team to import outside surveys for you.
Cons
Personally I dislike that so many additional components are billed separately as extra charges. I understand that businesses have to earn revenue but it seems to me that a lot of those components are interrelated.

“outstanding amount of useful data
Pros
The amount of data available is outstanding and I genuinely find it quite useful.
Cons
I find the filtering awkward when trying to pull local data, it is hard to pinpoint our area because we're located between two metro regions.

“Dedicated support handles data modeling
Pros
After using other platforms where most of the work fell on us, I really appreciate that Payfactors assigns dedicated support to make sure our market data is uploaded, combined and modeled exactly how we need it. Working on pricing projects feels simple and user friendly too and having peer data gives us a helpful second source to back up the surveys we buy. Their location-based pay adjustments have also been useful. Beyond the basics, the platform offers a wide range of analytics, customer resources, trend reports and learning tools. We have used them for almost five years and I still have not discovered everything they offer.
Cons
My only small complaint is that it's hard to casually browse the survey job categories unless I have a specific pricing project open. Every so often I just want to scroll through and see what categories exist but the interface pushes you toward creating a project instead of letting you explore.

“quick price syncs with HR
Pros
What I find especially useful is the Quick Price feature and how it connects with our HR system. As it makes syncing compensation changes and employee updates feel smooth between the two platforms. I am also impressed that we can price roles across different pay markets and combine job profiles for positions that dont fit standard templates.
Cons
I've noticed that data for certain pay markets can be harder to track down, particularly in parts of Europe and occasionally within some Canadian cities or provinces.

“Easy salary data across countries
Pros
I am a big fan of Payfactors as a compensation tool. As the interface is very user-friendly and it's easy to both get and share salary data. My team uses it at least once a week across three countries. There are many ways to analyze the data from pay ranges and peer comparisons to competitive market salaries. Whether I am doing a quick job price check or a deep compensation analysis, the platform makes it simple to use and share results. Implementation went smoothly, as long as you stay engaged with the training. The team communicated clearly and was great to work with. The training is excellent too and I am excited to explore more of it so I can keep building my compensation knowledge.
Cons
My main frustration is with uploading employee data as the current template seems unmanageable and takes too long to fill out correctly. I feel like a simpler, more user-friendly template for quick updates would be a big help. I am also frustrated that contacting support isn't more direct. Going through a ticketing system with back and forth messages is slow. So a phone or chat option would be much faster.

“Responsive manager delivers as promised
Pros
My Customer Service Manager, Jamie McGovern is very responsive. She follows up exactly as she promises and gets me the necessary information quickly.
Cons
I wish it included more details about state salary thresholds. Though the platform already does a great job showing updates to state minimum wage rates but adding salary threshold figures would be very helpful for clients and improve our decision-making.

“Hard-to-find industry data covered
Pros
I am really grateful that our specific part of the post-acute healthcare industry is well covered in their data. I searched for this kind of information for years before finding Payfactors and I rely on it especially when we are setting pay scales and trying to stay competitive.
Cons
As the main user, I have gotten pretty good at navigating the platform. But since it is not very user friendly, other colleagues who don't use it as often often forget how to find what they need and that slows them down.

“smooth implementation with practical insights
Pros
As the only HR person at a small company, we really depend on tools like Payscale when creating new job descriptions. I find it flexible and full of helpful, practical insights and the data is easy to use when building our own pay benchmarks. The rollout was also smooth as implementation was handled efficiently and felt well-organized from start to finish.
Cons
I need to spend a fair amount of time on the screen to feel comfortable navigating and trying things out.

“extremely challenging implementation
Pros
The only thing I actually use is Quick Price. Other than that I have not like anything about it.
Cons
When we started using the tool, it felt anything but user friendly. As our implementation was extremely challenging. I mean unless you're already comfortable with compensation platforms and how they work, be prepared for a lengthy, bumpy onboarding experience that tests your patience and resources.
