Simple setup

Pros

Something that really stands out is the customer support. Everyone involved from onboading to the CS and tech teams has been incredibly responsive, helpful and fast to reply. On top of that the platform feels very accessible so onboarding happens quickly and daily use is easy even for people who are not especially technical.

Cons

Overall I'm very satisfied. At the start of onboarding there were a few features I felt were missing but the team acted on that feedback and ended up rolling all of them out within about four months of us getting started.

versatile platform for schools

Pros

Right away the platform made a noticeable difference in how our partner schools handle administration. The interface is accessible and tasks that used to take hours of manual effort now happen much more efficiently which gives educators more time to concentrate on teaching. Another big advantage is how well the platform scales. It works just as effectively for small rural schools as it does for large urban institutions and that flexibility has been incredibly valuable across South Africa's varied education environment. I also appreciate how comprehensive it is. Everything from staff onboarding and performance management to payroll integration sits in one system so there's no longer the trouble of juggling multiple tools. Other than that the platform shows a clear understanding of the South African landscape with compliance features and functions that fit local employment regulations and educational needs well.

Cons

Honestly I don't have any complaints. They've been great and the platform has been excellent.

modern HR platform

Pros

Right from the start the platform felt accessible and easy to use. The design and interface are modern and the way it brings mental wellbeing into people operations is genuinely impressive. As a small business we were able to bring all of our HR processes into one platform while also offering mental wellbeing support to our team which simply wasn't possible for us before because of budget and management limitations. We've also started trying the Hire module and it has been a real game changer especially for a smaller HR team. The biggest standout for us was the onboading speed, we were up and running in just 48 hours and the customer support has been outstanding. That kind of turnaround is almost unheard of in the HRIS space.

Cons

One drawback is that with so many features available, the platform can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. Because of that we do rely quite a bit on the team to help guide us through everything and it would be nice to see more built in support around that. It would also be helpful if they expanded their integrations further.

multilingual mental health support

Pros

Across our global offices we rely on this platform for therapy services and it has been a really valuable resource. It gives employees access to mental health support in every location which is especially helpful where national health systems are slower or insurer waiting times are long. In other regions it serves as the main mental health benefit we offer so it plays an important role either way. The availability of therapy in multiple languages is another major advantage. More recently we've also partnered with them on webinars and speaker sessions covering topics like social media and mental health and the response to those has been very positive. We don't currently use it ourselves but it's also encouraging to see that Plumm has started expanding into the HRIS space.

Cons

There aren't any particular drawbacks to mention. For the way we use this platform it works very well and does exactly what we need it to do.

all in one people platform

Pros

Everything from wellbeing and performance to learning, payroll, recruitment and more is brought together in one system.

Cons

The admin settings take a bit of time to get familiar with but the team is very responsive and provides quick support whenever it's needed.
