“Perfect for small businesses, I love it!

Pros

Roll is such a great tool for small businesses. The support team is always there to help and answer any questions. I love how the app integrates with the desktop...it's quick and easy to use. There are a few things I'd love to see in future updates like the ability to easily pull up payment history for individual employees.

Cons

I made a suggestion earlier and I am hoping it's a simple fix, probably just due to operator ignorance on my part.

“payroll made simple

Pros

I really love that it alerts me when it's payroll time and takes care of all the tax stuff for me! It's super easy to use and the customer support is awesome. I can text in the app anytime and they'll even email me documents later if I need them.

Cons

The notifications would be even better if there was an option to email me as well. Sometimes, I miss the phone push notifications and I'd like to have that extra option.

Pros

It's super easy to use and the price is perfect for a small business like mine. It's affordable without compromising on quality.

Cons

We've had some issues with taxes especially with Utah's weird rules. I'd really appreciate better communication around that.

“Great support... but tax issues

Pros

What I really appreciate is how knowledgeable the chat agents are about all the different state and local regulations. Plus, it is always willing to make changes as needed which gives me peace of mind.

Cons

The FAQs are not very helpful for specific issues and sometimes the chat agent can drop off. Also there's no notification when the agent replies which makes it easy to miss messages. I often have to ask them to go back and review previous logs.

“easy, fast and customer-focused payroll

Pros

Love using it because it makes the process so easy. The support... especially with the chat function when submitting a ticket, makes everything run smoothly. Overall it's just an easy and pleasant experience especially as a busy business owner.

Cons

there were a few issues like child support adjustments and not having social security numbers on paystubs. Without those numbers, the paystubs can't be used for verifications. Thankfully support helped me resolve most of these.

“Smooth payroll experience

Pros

interface is really simple and easy to use which makes using the platform very smooth. I never feel lost or overwhelmed by complicated menus and everything is laid out in a way that's interactive.

Cons

I'd love an easier way to log in on my PC. Sometimes it feels like a bit of a trouble.

It is an affordable tool for handling basic payroll functions without any problem.

Cons

you get what you pay for. If you need anything beyond basic payroll, you won't find it here.

“Surprising chat support!

Pros

Chat feature has been great! I was hesitant at first since chat is the only way to contact support, but they are always quick and knowledgeable which has been a pleasant surprise.

Cons

there were some issues with state taxes at the start but thankfully, everything's been sorted out now.

“Love it...but some learning curve

Pros

Generally, I am not a huge fan of using apps for business purposes but it is so simple to use, quick and accurate that I have become a big fan. I run payroll twice a month and it only takes five minutes.

Cons

It took me a little while to figure out how to use the app especially with all the icons and their functions. But the customer support team was really patient and knowledgeable, which made learning easy.

“Fast, reliable payroll with excellent support

Pros

It takes care of my taxes and my payroll is completed in just seconds. It was really easy to integrate Roll into my administrative duties. The one time I needed customer support, they quickly solved my problem.

Cons

honestly there's nothing I dislike about this tool. It works well for what I need.
