“Very smooth payroll and employee management

Pros

I found the platform extremely easy to use and remarkably manageable and I didn't encounter any problems during my time with it, even if there were previous bugs I cannot say I noticed them and payroll processing was effortlessly handled which was a relief because I typically struggle with banking integrations and money management, yet this solution proved to be top tier in that regard, offering excellent value for the cost we invested, with customer support that responds quickly and effectively, aligning employee management while account access and login remain easy so I experienced no issues there

Cons

We love pretty much everything about the software and haven't experienced a single problem with the program, honestly, in my experience it is the best solution we have used so far.

Honestly, I found it remarkably easy to complete the setup and to add employees without complications.

What I appreciate most about the program is its comprehensive capabilities and the frequent updates that accommodate company-specific needs and from the organization's standpoint I must say that their support has truly been consistently and overall outstanding.

In my role as an administrator, the extensive configuration and seemingly limitless options can occasionally impede my comprehension, although one could argue that this flexibility is actually a strength of the application, nevertheless, when it comes to easyness, it renders certain tasks more challenging.

“Customizable for business needs

From my experience, it can be extensively tailored to fit our business requirements and to integrate with other existing software systems we already use.

Cons

I found the initial setup to be quite extensive and time-consuming and whenever we modify company procedures or replace other software, the setup steps tied to determining 'what is new' frequently must be repeated or require us to invent a workaround, furthermore, the benefits enrollment module does not always behave correctly for our situation, so we often have to override it.

“Flawless migration support

Pros

Having installed numerous packages throughout my career, I have yet to work with a deployment team as knowledgeable and helpful as this one and they managed our migration impeccably, making what could have been a chaotic process very smooth despite coordinating over 300 employees across seven separate companies and everything proceeded without a single hitch.

Cons

Not a con but I miss the old software's capability whereby tax forms would auto-populate online, because the current platform no longer provides that convenient autofill functionality, requiring more manual entry and reducing the efficiency we previously benefited from.

“Reliable tools and support

Pros

Over the course of my fifteen years as a client, I've found their support, simple interface and comprehensive HR functionality reliably address every need and I can honestly say there has never been an instance where SBS failed to fix an issue promptly, their customer support is exceptional.

Cons

I have nothing negative to report, in my experience this application is extremely simple and user-friendly, so I haven't encountered any issues worth mentioning.

“Easy Excel data export

Pros

I appreciate being able to export the data from every report into Excel, as it enables me to perform additional manipulations and more detailed analysis on the dataset.

Cons

Being the System Administrator, my primary grievance is the inability to build custom reports directly from Progress, while the Report Writer is simple and easy to use, I find its capabilities to be rather limited.
