Pros

Finding the right candidates on the first try has been a lot easier for me with this tool.

Cons

The same person can submit their application more than once, which causes duplicates in our system.

asy to use but slow support

Pros

The interface is very user friendly so going through candidate profiles is very easy. Our workflow is way more efficient now that we're using the applicant tracking features, everything stays organized and up-to-date without much effort from us.

Cons

The support team's response time could definitely be better, they're very slow when you reach out for help.

good pick for recruitment solutions

Pros

UI is really easy to use and smooth. On top of that, their customer support team is awesome whenever I need help.

Cons

It could definitely use some improvements in certain areas, there are features that seem like they need a bit more work.

fantastic tool for staying organized

Pros

I manage several programs and one of them requires constant recruitment. It tracks all job listings and candidates, lets me update their status and even stores everything from resumes to interview notes. It was easy to get started, just a quick walkthrough from our admin and I was good to go.

Cons

Sometimes I run into glitches, just like with any software. For example there were times when job postings assigned to me wouldn't show up on my dashboard but fixing it was simple.

Pros

Pros

The system collects all application details and automatically sends them to the right people, which really lightens the workload for the team. It also generates useful data that we can use for future recruitment efforts.

Cons

I haven't had any major issues so far, everything's been running pretty smoothly.

simple application process

Pros

I found the online application process very easy to use and quick. It was smooth to go through the different sections and the instructions were clear making it simple to fill out all the necessary details.

Cons

It would be helpful to have a section where we can delete applications after they have been reviewed.

Professional job postings but communication could improve

Pros

Applicants can apply without any issue which brings in more candidates. Plus the platform makes job postings look professional making it easier for applicants to apply.

Cons

There was some info needed from our I.T. team and I had to act as the middleman. It would have been much quicker if the requirements were communicated directly to them.

Fast job postings

Pros

The best part is how easy it is to create job postings, thanks to the cloning functions. It really speeds up the process.

Cons

I'd love to see the employment status displayed on the cover page of the job posting.

Great tracking system

Pros

applicant tracking system is great... I can review applicants as they come in and rate them based on the questions I set.

Cons

I have not used the system for too long so I haven't come across any issues yet.

needs better vetting & support

Pros

Honestly the only plus is how easy it is to search for open positions and recruit through the database. That's pretty much it.

Cons

Where do I even start? they let almost anyone use the platform without properly vetting the recruiters. The internal recruiters don't take the submissions seriously, there's a lack of support from Scout reps and they take way too high of a fee.

Simple interface...needs better tagging

Pros

It's super simple to use and its easy to teach others. It does not have all the unnecessary info like some other programs.

Cons

Tagging function could definitely be improved to make it easier to search for past applicants based on their skills.

Effective reporting!

Pros

Interface is simple and the reporting system is really effective especially for exporting candidate data. Plus, the support is fantastic!

Cons

More email marketing features would be awesome. Being able to build talent pools and then set up simple, automated long-term nurture journeys would really make a difference.

User-friendly experience

Pros

The system is super user friendly and the applicant experience is very amaizng. We HAVE seen more applicants and fewer questions about the system. The support team is amazing too , they are trustworthy and helped us transition smoothly from our old system.

Cons

there are not really any major "cons." If we are being picky the only small issues are that the panel shortlisting scores are visible before completion (which might impact fairness) and it's unclear who made the comments when you leave one.

Clean layout and needs flexible reporting

Pros

It is easy to use and the support team is AMAZING. I really like the clean layout and how smooth it is to use!

Cons

Reporting could be more flexible. We need better reports to track time to fill... both for internal and external candidates.

Interview scheduling saves time

Pros

Interview scheduling feature is a lifesaver! For recruiters, it cuts down on admin time and for interviewees, they love being able to pick a time that works for them.

Cons

It would be great if the software could include video interviews and APIs to connect with other systems.

helpful customer support

Pros

I have been using it for years. When I worked at my old job, we found it so helpful for handling the admin during a merger. Now at my new job, I have trained the team quickly because the system is so easy to use. The SMS function and posting jobs externally are also awesome. Plus customer support is top-notch... they are always calm, friendly and full of great suggestions. I've had in-person training with Alex and I'd totally recommend him.

Cons

we are working with Scout to improve the entity structure but it would be nice to have better visibility of the template when sending event invites.

My go to tool for my job

Pros

Using this system is part of my daily job and I really enjoy it. It's so easy to use and I get great use out of features like email, SMS and tracking candidate statuses.

Cons

SMS feature is a huge benefit for us but it would be even better if candidates could respond to our messages via SMS.

needs better talent pool management

Pros

I like that all the documents related to a candidate or job are stored in the system. It helps minimize risks for the Council and it's so easy to use and interactive.

Cons

I'd love to see a better way to manage a Talent Pool candidate list. Also there's no way to directly link an approval form to a job ad.. right now I have to save it outside Scout and attach it manually which works but is a bit of a trouble considering how easy everything else is in Scout.
