Easy setup with direct award letters

Pros

Setup is really easy and it's simple to use for both employees and our HR team. The vendor's responsiveness and customer support have been impressive too. I also love that award letters can be created and sent directly from the platform.

Cons

Honestly I can't think of any real drawbacks. We did have a fairly complex bonus structure which forced us to get a bit creative with the configuration but it ultimately worked and the team's support was invaluable in exploring different approaches and helping us arrive at a solution.

Responsive support with customizable features

Pros

I have been impressed with the overall user experience as the platform is very easy to use. Client support is also responsive, there are new customizable features, setup does not take long and the team is open to new requests.

Cons

That said, I find the customization and formatting options for merit and comp letters a bit too basic and sadly there is not an integration with our current HRIS, Dayforce.

Easy merit cycles need better filters

Pros

We use SimplyMerit for merit increases and promotions and I find the platform very easy to use. What I like most is its clear, customer-focused design as it cuts down on manager training time and lets our team handle the entire merit cycle on their own. The unlimited guidance and support give me confidence when dealing with complex situations and help prevent data errors. It is also great at importing salary histories from Namely efficiently which saves me a lot of manual work and speeds up setup significantly.

Cons

One thing I wish the tool had is a filter option on column headings, so I could quickly find specific employee details without scrolling through the whole list. I also find it frustrating that there is no freeze panes feature for rows and columns that makes it harder for managers when they need to scroll to the end. Lastly, I'd like the salary history dropdown to appear right after the employees name, so I can easily compare salaries between two people.

Best support with hands-on help

Pros

Their customer support is simply the best. As they are always hands-on, know the platform inside out and they are available when I have questions.

Cons

I feel like it would be helpful to have a yearly reference guide I could look back on.

Merit increases tracked in one place

Pros

SimplyMerit is very user-friendly. It brings all our merit increases together in one place, making them easy to review. I also like how it tracks both ratings and budget dollars efficiently. The platform lets us adjust allocations to stay within budget and helps keep managers accountable. Getting started with it was very quick too.

Cons

To be honest I have no complaints to share.

User-friendly makes salary planning efficient

Pros

I am impressed by how user-friendly the platform is as it's made our salary planning much more efficient and keeps everything neatly organized. What I like most is that whenever questions come up, their support team is responsive, helpful and quick to guide us which makes the whole process smoother.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike. Yes like any platform, it takes a little time to learn but later I found it easy to follow and quick to pick up.

Dynamic imports with responsive support

Pros

Honestly I am a big fan of SimplyMerit as its dynamic importing gives us better context and helps ensure the data in the system is accurate. The support team deserves special mention too. They don't just send generic replies but they actually listen and work with us to find solutions. That hands-on, responsive approach is refreshing and something we really value. The platform has also made managing our merit processes much clearer. The annual insights report is both interesting and useful. I also like that employee communication letters are largely customizable, so we can match our tone and style. I am also impressed by how often they release updates based on client feedback as they are genuinely curious about improving the product. Integration with other systems has been easy too and our onboarding went smoothly thanks to proactive support. All of this makes it much easier for our team to manage compensation cycles without unnecessary friction.

Cons

I think there is room to improve some customization options. And if we could control more settings globally instead of changing them one by one or per team it would make our processes much more efficient. As that kind of global control would really help how we work and allow us to do a more effective job overall.

Best partnership with easy adoption

Pros

Working with SimplyMerit, I received outstanding support that was essential in helping our team meet a very tight deadline. Their customer service is without exaggeration, the best I have ever experienced. As they treated me like a true partner, patiently guiding me through each step and addressing every concern. A few things that stood out to me are user adoption was easy as managers picked up the system quickly and the budgeting tool was especially useful. The customization was a major advantage. As the platform's flexibility allowed us to tailor almost everything to our needs and it handled nearly all of those requests. Moreover their responsiveness and partnership mindset really impressed me. For example when I asked for a very specific report, they built it quickly. I mean then realized it would help others and added it to their standard library. They consistently listen to customers and show a real commitment to improvement, regularly rolling out practical new features. I also want to highlight their customer success and technical support teams as their replies are almost instant and their level of care is unmatched. Honestly I consider them the best partner we have worked with.

Cons

It took me a while to get comfortable with the system as it was not plug and play right away. So learning the workflow took time and patience and I had to invest effort upfront before feeling confident. If I could wish for one big improvement, it would be tighter automatic syncing with our HRIS so things like performance ratings, salary changes, new hires and terminations would update automatically without manual work. That would be a game changer. Those are kind of blue sky ideas and I do not want them to take away from all the great things it already offers.

Personalize settings easy navigation

Pros

The interface is pretty easy to navigate and I like how much you can personalize its settings.

Cons

For certain field changes, I end up having to run a full import just to overwrite the existing data, which is frustrating. I mean I wish it would let me make those edits directly inside the app's interface instead.

Outstanding support eased first-time nerves

Pros

At our company, we had an excellent experience with SimplyMerit's platform and team. With nearly 2,000 employees, I was nervous about using a merit planning tool for the first time but their support team was outstanding. Whenever a question came up, big or small, they responded quickly and thoroughly. I am genuinely looking forward to continuing with this system and seeing how it supports our future merit cycles.

Cons

Honestly there are not any drawbacks I can think of at the moment as they've been a pleasure to work with.

Managers submit proposals without trouble

Pros

Using it made reviewing our data very simple and let managers submit their own proposals without any trouble. Executives could quickly see their whole team and approve or adjust recommendations. Also HR was able to monitor the entire company-wide process and the SimplyMerit support team always responded fast with friendly, helpful guidance whenever we needed it.

Cons

I don't really have any complaints because the system worked well for our organization and met our needs. One improvement we'd like to see is a better bonus calculation process so we don't have to upload and download spreadsheets multiple times to get final numbers. We are excited to use the platform again for our next merit and bonus cycle.

Affordable flexible with audit trails

Pros

For our organization, SimplyMerit turned out to be an affordable, very flexible tool for managing merit and bonus planning and distributions. We can tailor merit and bonus allocations to match our needs and the system also helps us stay within budget while maintaining a clear audit trail of approvals. What has saved our HR team a lot of time are the individualized letters managers can access and share directly with their team members. Their customer support has been outstanding too and we honestly couldn't have implemented this without the security features our company required.

Cons

Well I haven't run into any issues as it's given us exactly what we needed.

Accurate letters with minimal effort

Pros

It reduces our admin work during annual merit and bonus cycles by generating the best, accurate letters with very little manual effort.

Cons

I ran into a few hiccups previously when uploading our data to generate letters, however I worked closely with the support team and together we resolved those problems.

Easy use with powerful flexibility

Pros

The name really fits. As not only is it easy to use but the features are surprisingly powerful giving my team everything we need. It is also flexible, so I can make changes on the fly when needed. Plus being able to generate confirmation statements for each employee has been especially useful. Setup was easy too and customer support responds quickly and clearly knows the product well. Uploading and downloading data is simple and hassle-free.

Cons

No cons to share as our organization has enjoyed excellent results with this software and with the MorganHR team.

Fast setup with confident rollout

Pros

Setup was fast and the support was excellent which was essential since our merit launch was coming up quickly. With the tight timeline, we could not train managers but many still told me the tool was easy to use. That combination made a huge difference and gave me real confidence in the rollout.

Cons

Downloading the data is easy but reformatting it for analysis especially with multiple currencies was a hassle. But I understand the team plans to improve that part of the tool.

True one-stop for compensation cycles

Pros

During our annual compensation cycle, I found SimplyMerit to act as a true one stop solution. Uploads were pretty easy, the setup and field mapping felt simple too and the system gave us the adaptability to tweak processes so they align with our organization's specific requirements.

Cons

I have not run into any issues so far as whenever I've had questions or hit a problem, the team responded promptly and resolved things quickly.

offer the best support with valuable updates

Pros

For HR teams and managers, it is really easy to use. We get A+++++ support from the SM team and they consistently roll out updates and introduce new features that deliver significant value to our organization.

Cons

Well I would love for us to have a direct link between our performance management system and SM so we could sync ratings seamlessly across both platforms.

Spreadsheets eliminated with central access

Pros

For our compensation team, it has been incredibly helpful and a real time-saver. As it eliminated the constant back and forth of Excel spreadsheets with leadership saving time and reducing version control headaches. We gave managers direct access to enter merit increases which were then reviewed by their leaders all within one central system. Plus leadership really valued the compa-ratio analytics. I mean they were so useful that we created a training course around how compa-ratio affects pay decisions. It was also very helpful that our VPs and CEO could easily track their budgets and stay on course. Neil, Alex and Stacy were key in helping us tailor SimplyMerit to our needs and supported us throughout the rollout. If my team needed to move away from spreadsheets to a smoother, more efficient process, I'd confidently recommend it.

Cons

We need a simpler way to remove inactive team members but the current deletion process is awkward. Also having only one primary admin is too limiting for our setup. I'd prefer the option to have multiple primary admins maybe three with full access to all settings, along with regular admins who have limited access. Plus more flexibility in admin roles and easier member removal would make user management much more practical for us.

Support delivers changes fast

Pros

Whenever our team wanted to try something new on the platform, the crew proved not only that it could be done but that it was easy to pull off. Their support staff worked with us to set up the site exactly how we wanted, consistently delivering changes within a fast turnaround time.
