Fantastic tool to boost employee morale

Pros

I love the variety of questions and the chance to add my own thoughts.

Cons

We ended up using it as a tool to reward executives, not to improve the workplace. I think it's really important to write valid questions for it to be effective.

Good employee engagement tool

Pros

It was super easy to use and the customer service was amazing. Plus, I could easily edit the questions.

Cons

Managing employees when they changed departments or managers was tricky. Plus, there was no visible history of which departments they were in before the changes.

TinyPulse offers real-time feedback

Pros

The Slack integration makes TinyPulse so useful and really easy to set up.

Cons

Since responding to TinyPulse surveys is optional, we might have some bias in our survey responses.

Solid solution but contract terms can be tricky

Pros

It's a great way to keep getting feedback from staff all year instead of just doing an annual survey. I also love the "Cheers for Peers" feature, where staff can recognize each other. Plus you can add your own customized questions which is awesome.

Cons

Be careful before signing the contract! It's really inflexible with their licensing options. They'll lock you into a one-year contract even if you're not using all the licenses. When our staff size shrank because of COVID, they still held us to the original contract. We ended up paying for 6 months we didn't want or use which was tough for a small company.

Simple real-time engagement

Pros

Giving and getting feedback is really important and TinyPulse makes it super easy and safe. The best part is that staff responses can be anonymous which encourages everyone to join in.

Cons

Over time, we noticed that the level of feedback started to drop off. Staff were more engaged at first but less as time went on. There's also a risk that the platform could turn into a place to rant, rather than encouraging people to take ownership of their suggestions and act on them personally. So, it's important to think about how the tool is used and how feedback is handled.

Ideal for small business

Pros

The anonymity feature is great, managers can't even tell who's giving the feedback even in small teams.

Cons

There were a lot of notifications. They sent them through Slack and email, way more often than our old system.

Very smooth integration

Pros

I appreciate how I can dive deeper into survey responses and ask anonymous follow-up questions which really makes the data more valuable. Our small surveys get a great response and employees feel comfortable sharing their thoughts since their feedback is anonymous. The integration with Microsoft Teams and the ability to easily share reports has made it easy to stay transparent.

Cons

The deployment and implementation support were great but looking back, we could have used training on how to make the most of the user experience. Features like sending "cheers" to coworkers and checking survey summaries in the web portal would have been more beneficial if our team had better guidance.

TinyPulse lets employees give feedback

Pros

I like how it lets me suggest things to HR and track the progress of those suggestions. I actually saw one of my suggestions which helped make the recruiting process fairer, get implemented. It's rare to say that software had an impact like that.

Cons

I don't like that when I click a response from the automated TinyPulse email, it takes me to the website where I have to click again. I also wish I could turn off reminder emails for features my team doesn't use.

Perfect for receiving honest feedback

Pros

It was a great way for reps to give honest feedback anonymously. I also shared a few ideas about improving efficiency and some of them were actually implemented. Not sure if they would have been without TinyPulse.

Cons

I think the main reason we stopped using it was because of the cost.

Software for maintaining employee engagement

Pros

It's a huge deal that the company listens to employee feedback and acts on it. We used it every week and the whole company got involved. They'd send out a question by email and we'd answer it on a specific day, adding comments if we wanted. As we started noticing positive changes like improvements in the cafeteria, more people joined in. It turned into a fun competition!

Cons

Honestly, I liked it all. We noticed improvements being made regularly and that's something you really appreciate.

Enjoyable shoutouts but no rewards

Pros

The best feature by far was the anonymous suggestion box.

Cons

There were no rewards unlike in other types of software we've seen.
