“helpful for candidate tracking
Pros
I find it very user-friendly for most things and it helps me keep track of every candidate's status for each application without jumping between spreadsheets or notes. Having that clear, up-to-date view in one place makes the entire hiring process smoother and much more manageable.
Cons
I had some trouble locating the notes and comments we left on candidate profiles after rejecting them. We relied on guidance from the team at Vervoe but I think adding some clear tips and hints on their help page would make this much easier for my team and me.

“Eliminates bias from the recruitment process
Pros
One thing I really like about it is how it aims to reduce bias in the recruitment process and that commitment stands out for me. I also find the ability to send out hundreds of assessments at once via a simple CSV upload to be a genuine time-saver. Our hiring managers get involved in shaping assessments which gives them a clear window into candidates' skills and capabilities and ends up producing a predictive success score. By grouping questions into distinct skill sets, hiring managers can quickly untangle tied overall scores and focus on what matters most. For instance when ten applicants share the same overall predictive score and we can only interview three, we can zoom in on who scored highest in our top-priority skill. If we decide that "sales" should carry more weight than "technical," the team can instantly surface the top three sales performers and move forward with inviting those candidates in for interviews.
Cons
I'd love to see it connect directly with our ATS.. that kind of integration would organize our workflow a lot. Another enhancement I'm hoping for in a future update is the option to set customizable default email templates that automatically go out with assessments so we don't have to edit messages manually each time.

“simple to train newcomers
Pros
I find it really simple to walk a newcomer through using the platform and I can easily monitor and track their results.
Cons
One thing I wish is that I had better control over the email options so I could choose to receive only the emails about my candidates when I need them.

“Centralized solution for tracking applicants
Pros
For different roles the software gave me a centralized spot where I could keep track of all applicants for the various job positions.
Cons
I ran into an issue with the horizontal page scroller as it didn't function properly. Bizarrely the scroller only became visible after I was at the very bottom of the page.

“applicant tools could be A LOT better
Pros
I really like how flexible the assessment creation is. It lets me build tests in multiple formats and types including video submissions, written responses, multiple-choice questions and more.
Cons
For me the tools for managing and filtering applicants are painfully laggy and practically unusable. A lot of effort is required to make that part of the platform reliable and efficient.

“Easy to set up
Pros
I've found the platform extremely easy to set up, the user experience is smooth, building assessments from scratch or from the library is simple and candidate communication is automated.
Cons
From my experience it's somewhat rigid in certain areas. Customizing assessments is limited and there isn't a mobile app plus the AI learns over time so I wouldn't expect the initial automatic grading to be flawless. Also when it comes to high-volume hiring I don't think it performs as well as some competitors.

“speeds up the hiring process
Pros
Honestly one of the things I appreciate most is how much this product accelerates the hiring process. It also supports interview equity really well since every applicant can respond to questions in their own style and at a time that suits them.
Cons
I'd like the entry-level plan to include more than four options because as it stands the limited allowance doesn't scale well for organizations that are trying to grow while keeping a close eye on costs.

“exactly what I had been looking for!
Pros
For years I'd been on the lookout for an affordable, intelligent, online capability-testing platform that I could customise to meet the specific demands of our roles and different levels within the business. When Vervoe was shown to me it immediately felt like the answer I'd been chasing. It checked every box on the selection criteria I'd carefully put together for this type of technology application and was remarkably simple to roll out across our hiring workflow. While I can be a harsh judge of technology I haven't been disappointed in the slightest with Vervoe. Hiring managers have taken to it quickly, we've received consistently positive feedback from candidates about the experience and the tool has delivered measurable productivity gains for my team. I'm confident that I'll be able to present a strong ROI case to finance and the executive team and our People & Culture team are delighted with how it's contributing to our objectives around diversity and inclusion.
Cons
Overall I find it to be very user-friendly so I don't have any major criticisms to raise right now. Because it seems relatively new in the market there is certainly room for improvement and additional capabilities which I actually find exciting as a customer. The feedback I provide appears to be taken on board and it's clear the platform is evolving with new features and improvements being added over time.

“Customizable questions
Pros
Every interview question can be fully customised which I value. The software is really easy to use. I notice the AI scoring becomes very accurate after it learns our marking style. It also automatically emails candidates as they progress through stages
Cons
When I 'reject' candidates they disappear from my view. There's no integration with the systems we currently use. I also can't track communications to review past interactions with candidates.

“Gives applicants a chance to show their skills
Pros
It was not hard to set up and picking up how it works didn't take long. What I appreciate most about it is how it helped change hiring managers' mindset that candidates are merely a piece of paper. The platform lets people actually demonstrate who they are and the real skills they bring to the table. A resume only shows so much and shouldn't be the final say in someone's application and Vervoe made a big difference for us in that regard.
Cons
Since we first rolled it out across the organization it has come a long way improving so much that I honestly can't think of any shortcomings to mention.

“Everybody loves it
Pros
We've found that candidates love it and hiring managers are big fans too. My team processed an enormous number of applicants efficiently without adding staff and it practically paid for itself right away. It really works!
Cons
I'd say the analytics are pretty basic and underdeveloped. I feel the platform needs significant improvements in reporting and data insights.

“makes it easy to keep track of candidates
Pros
I like how it makes it easy for me to keep track of candidates throughout the hiring process and I can move them into different stages when they've finished assessments. Being able to reassign applicants by section is really helpful and I also appreciate the AI feature that automatically produces candidate scores.
Cons
I sometimes find it frustrating to have to scroll through long lists of applications because scrolling down a large batch of candidates can be a little time-taking.

“Helps us identify qualified candidates
Pros
We bring new people on board occasionally and since we're an online company, we try to automate as many tasks as possible. It helped us cut through the grind of hiring , a process that can really drain time and energy. And it helped improve our end results by identifying more qualified candidates who actually fit our requirements. The platform offers a wide variety of assessments designed to verify that applicants can perform the specific tasks we need. Picture scaling that across multiple hires while keeping everything neat and organized, that's exactly what Vervoe does for us!
Cons
I honestly can't complain. The app covers everything our team needs.

“dishonest feels
Pros
I don't have much to mention here. As a paying customer I've noticed they deliberately withhold features that should be free even from those who already pay and that makes me question how honest they are.
Cons
I'm disappointed that they restrict features behind paywalls and even remove or deny features to paying customers which feels pretty dishonest.

“buggy and underdeveloped
Pros
Being able to pre-screen candidates is something I really appreciate as it saves me time and helps me narrow down the pool before interviews.
Cons
It has a lot of bugs, honestly feels like it's still in beta which is really annoying and makes me distrust the experience applicants have. I have no clue whether it's putting them off.
