Pros
VidCruiter is good because it is easy to navigate, fast to configure and comes with all the tools I need to run smooth candidate screening and conduct interviews. Plus it hooks up well with our other applications, so yes I rely on it frequently and the support team is responsive whenever I need help.
Cons
Every so often, the platform works a little slow and I noticed several functions are not immediately simple to use when I first use them. Besides those hiccups, the system performs reliably and overall takes a lot of friction out of our hiring workflow.

Pros
The customizable interview templates, the structured digital interview setup and the automated candidate progression save me a considerable amount of time and keep hiring practices consistent across different roles and hiring managers. Plus the platform's user friendly design also makes it simple to bring new team members up to speed quickly. On top of that being able to track candidate status live and keep comprehensive documentation in the system increases transparency and boosts the efficiency of our hiring workflow.
Cons
I've noticed the system can be somewhat inflexible when I try to edit templates on the go, particularly after a requisition has already been opened. There are also occasional lags when it integrates with the Springboard platform. These issues are not deal-breakers for me but resolving them would definitely improve overall efficiency.

Pros
It is excellent because it is not simply a plug and play solution. They collaborate with me to really understand what I need and then they customize the platform accordingly. And with an outstanding customer service team and consistent communication, it has made it far easier for me to have a system that genuinely meets my needs as a client.
Cons
Not being able to edit multiple positions or users at once is very time-consuming. Though the team can help with bigger updates but it is still a hassle. Reporting is also a problem because only administrators can access reports which causes internal challenges.

The team is patient, polite and provided excellent help to someone like me who did not have time to go through the manual processes. Also I find the steps for creating a position and setting up questions easy and simple to follow.
Cons
There are too many steps to add additional candidates to a launched position but once I've done it one time, I'm good to go.

Pros
I really like being able to send candidates virtual pre-screen interviews because it saves me a lot of time when I am dealing with bulk hiring. It's also handy that I can revisit their pre-screens later and I am a fan of the redo-question option. When I send reference requests, I like that the platform flags references using the same device or IP, and that references can submit their details by email instead of needing a phone call. The history view that shows if emails were opened is useful too. Overall these features make my recruiting workflow much simpler and far more efficient.
Cons
Nothing too serious, but I wish we had more control over the emails that go out to candidates so they could match our company's branding such as things like colors, templates, and overall styling. As that way, candidates would immediately recognize why they are getting the message. We currently tell people in separate messages, but having the emails resemble our company would probably boost response rates, since replies are sometimes low. It would also help if messages did not appear to come from VidCruiter but instead looked like they were sent directly by our company. Plus, on occasion, candidates report that their recordings in pre-screens don't function correctly, and it would be much better if completing those recordings on phones or tablets were more reliable.

The software is extremely easy to use for both recruiters and applicants. After I become comfortable navigating the system, it cuts down on a significant amount of time and effort. Plus the support reps respond quickly and are consistently helpful, making it enjoyable to deal with them. Also the smooth CRM integration saves me time when I add and rate users.
Cons
For nearly a year we have been using it to run one-way video interviews at our organization and so far we have not run into any issues or noticed any shortcomings.

What I like most is how it gathers applicant information. As once I have set up a job in the system and asked candidates to fill out the online form, it is easy to judge whether they're a fit and to flag possible problem areas. The helpdesk has been brilliant too as they reply clearly and quickly to my questions which I really appreciate given that I'm based in Australia and might be in a different timezone.
Cons
Initially I struggled to map my existing hiring process into a workflow but the helpdesk were outstanding and walked me through every step until I felt comfortable. I still occasionally find the Templates a bit confusing, though I recognise that's more about my familiarity with the system than a flaw in the product itself, so it's something I'm working on improving.

Daphne and her crew provide truly exceptional customer support, I mean hands down the best I've ever come across. Plus they customize every aspect to suit our needs. Cons
The least useful part for us ended up being the tool that automates hiring when a candidate reaches a specific percentage accumulated throughout the recruitment process. Even though we recognize why larger organizations might rely on that capability, it felt overly complex and a lot for our needs.

One of the most frustrating parts of running high-volume recruitment is when candidates book interviews and then fail to show up. We spend time sifting through resumes and prepping for those conversations, only to have that work lost which really eats into our day. Our organization hires more than 400 seasonal employees annually, mostly college and university students, so this was a constant headache. But VidCruiter changed that by letting us engage candidates on their timetable rather than forcing them into ours. The people who complete the interview process are doing so because they genuinely want the position and the problem of no-shows essentially disappeared.The implementation team was amazing to collaborate with as they made the software easy to use as they walked us through every step and made sure we felt completely at ease before we opened our campaign to applicants. Plus whenever we had questions, responses were quick and solutions arrived fast. One feature that has been especially helpful for our team is the applicant-driven reference check system. Adding that extra level of verification is usually very time-consuming when you're hiring at scale, sometimes taking many hours but this feature cuts those hours down dramatically. The automated notification emails are another big plus, reducing manual touchpoints and saving our recruiting staff countless hours in candidate communication. So I would highly recommend it, particularly for teams faced with high-volume hiring needs.
Cons
If I had to point out a drawback to using it, it would be that some of the human nuance of a live interview can get lost. In a traditional, live conversation, you can follow up, ask someone to elaborate, or probe a detail in the moment. But with pre-recorded interviews that back-and-forth is absent. That means we have to be very to the point in how we word each pre-recorded question. Still we do not know how will a candidate interpret it and will their response provide enough information for us to decide whether they're a fit?
