“Useful candidate insights”

Pros

This software has become a really amazing pre-employment assessment for us and we now use it with every candidate. We've moved away from the paper version and handle everything online now which has been a much better process. Wonscore also adds a lot of useful insight into candidates and gives our team helpful tools to prepare for interviews.

Cons

One concern is that our managers tend to focus heavily on the cognitive score and we also have baseline benchmarks that candidates need to meet for each position.

“Provides instant results”

Pros

Getting results right away has been a big plus for me and being able to create testing links for open roles is really useful too.

Cons

I don't appreciate that we have to click into the score just to view the Wonderlic raw score since the default screen only shows the curve or percentile.

We use this tool to give assessments to candidates applying for roles across the organization and the platform is really easy to work with.

Cons

We haven't run into any issues or identified any areas of concern with the platform yet.

Pros

For years, it has played a big role in helping our company identify and hire strong candidates. The ongoing updates especially the addition of useful AI-driven analysis of candidate results in recent years, have dramatically improved the quality of our hiring decisions. As our company keeps expanding, I'm confident Wonderlic will continue helping us bring in people who are the right fit.

Cons

Only issue we've experienced is the lack of visibility and control over the automated messages candidates receive especially when we manually trigger sends or need to issue re-tests. We'd much rather be able to adjust the wording of those communications so the candidate experience feels more thoughtful, personal and less like it's coming from an automated system.

“Clear score summaries”

Pros

This system is very easy to use and it helps that the scores are explained automatically with a short summary statement.

Cons

Sometimes the summary descriptions can come across a bit vague. Other than that I really don't have many complaints.

Pros

Interface looks good overall even if it can be a bit tricky to move around at times. That said they've been rolling out updates that seem aimed at improving it.

Cons

I've noticed that the top candidate scores don't always seem to reflect strong cognitive ability and the opposite happens too.

It covers a full range of my candidates' qualities which gives me a much more complete picture during the hiring process.

I hear feedback that the assessment feels too long sometimes. If it were shortened a bit it would probably be more appealing to candidates.

“Simple to use but costly”

Pros

This software is simple to use and the way everything is organized makes it simple to understand. Another big plus has been our account manager she's incredibly insightful and has been a real help.

Cons

Biggest downside for us is the cost. The software is useful but the price feels pretty steep for what it is.
