“Easy, accurate, with seamless integration

Pros

Zoho Payroll makes salary processing easy and accurate. It also handles tax calculations and compliance updates automatically which saves me time and reduces errors. And since it connects with Zoho Books and Zoho People, my finance and HR tasks become seamless. Also employees can access their own payslips, tax info and upload documents easily through the self-service portal. The layout is clean and simple too so it's easy for new users to get started.

Cons

For my organization, it is dependable but I have run into limitations with customization, especially when our pay schemes are complex. Also customer support sometimes takes longer than I'd like to respond and I've had to implement manual workarounds for a few advanced functions. I also wish the reporting tools were more adaptable and offered deeper analytics. Finally new users may need a bit of time to learn all the compliance-related settings and nuances.

Pros

Using this system is really easy and simple. The interface is really user-friendly and connecting it with other Zoho apps to keep track of things is easy. Whenever I needed help, the support team was solid. Implementing it across a big team was surprisingly smooth and easy.

Cons

Honestly, I haven't come across any major issues so far.

I'm pretty impressed with the level of detail this system provides. While the access controls might seem a bit much from an admin perspective, they're thorough when you really need that extra layer of security.

The processes just take way too long. Customer support really needs to step it up. A lot of the time, my queries are completely ignored or just left unanswered. As potential customers, we should at least get clear explanations on how things work. Another annoying thing is that you can't edit basic historical data like employee exit details, once the month is over. That's very frustrating.

The layout is easy to get the hang of and even new hires figure out basic things like submitting timesheets pretty quickly. Setting up new reps and handling key financial tasks is very simple.

Cons

Managing payroll across different states has been a huge headache. The system struggles to calculate state and local tax withholdings correctly for my remote team members spread out in different locations.

Setting up payroll has gotten way easier with this system. The step-by-step guides are super helpful for someone just starting out and the integration is easy. I love that it automatically keeps me compliant with local payroll laws, which really gives me peace of mind. Automating stuff like salary and tax calculations has saved me a lot of time and reduced mistakes. Accessing pay slips and tax forms is simple too.

Cons

The support response time is slow and the live chat feature really needs improvement. I've had to wait much longer than expected for help and when I do get through, the assistance isn't as detailed or helpful as I would've liked.

It is awesome and easy to use. It handles all the tax and salary calculations automatically, saving me loads of time. The dashboard is simple to use and I can access it from any device. The integration was simple too. What I really appreciate is how all compliance stuff is already pre-configured based on what my organization needs, so I don't have to stress about regulatory issues.

Zoho Payroll is one of the cleanest and easiest payroll apps I have used. The experience is great too and the interface looks good which makes it enjoyable to work with. Also the features are simple and useful. For example, I can easily switch between investment details, salary breakdowns and payslips without any issues. I use it often to keep track of my finances.

Cons

If you need a lot of customizations for unusual payroll setups, it may require technical skills or extra help.

Onboarding process was very smooth. Plus I like that the software automates payroll and tax deductions and offers an API for integration. It is also flexible enough to handle different pay structures and policies, includes employee self-service and works on both web and mobile.

Cons

As per me the process flow could be better. Customer support is also slow to respond and there are limits on geographic coverage.

Employees find it pretty easy to submit self-appraisal forms. Tax filing is simple too as it calculates taxes automatically once I upload my proofs. I also like how easy it is to switch between old and new tax regimes with one click. Plus the system follows local laws, works well with other Zoho apps and has an interface that's easy for HR and business users to learn without training.

Cons

Customer support can be slow which is frustrating when I need help quickly. Also the dashboards could be more polished and the templates page feels lacking in both design and features. Both areas could be improved to make daily use smoother for me and my team.

Honestly I have not run into anything that's confusing or that I dislike about the system, so there is nothing negative to report.

Zoho Payroll interface displays a clear, detailed breakdown of my investments, deductions, allowances and total CTC which I really like. Also it's very easy to navigate.

There are occasions when I cannot access data from earlier financial years in the app because the records appear to be locked which is very frustrating.

Pros

What I like most about Zoho Payroll is how easy it is to onboard new hires. Plus I can quickly view an employee's history as all the info is right there when I need it. We ran monthly payroll and generated payslips without any trouble for about eight months. Customer support was always helpful too and easy to reach when issues came up. Switching from our old system was smooth and well organized and integration was simple for any company.

Cons

I feel the ability to run payrolls in batches across groups of employees is missing.

The thing I like is that I am able to keep all our payrolls synchronized with Zoho People and have the system automatically transfer payrolls using the same application without extra steps.

Up to this point I haven't been able to find any problems with it.
