great features and automations

Pros

This product grows with us and has tons of features, including automations that make my work easier. Since it's web-based, I can use it from any computer without installing anything locally.

Cons

There's not a lot of room to customize things and it doesn't really connect with other software beyond a certain point.

Really user-friendly texting feature

Pros

We have found the texting feature really user-friendly and it's played a big role in helping our team expand connections. The technical support has been excellent too and overall, the whole platform feels very easy to navigate.

Cons

Initially I found it a little tricky to figure out how to open and close conversations but in my experience that's just part of the learning curve.

billing and reporting features are outstanding

Pros

There's a lot I genuinely like about the platform but the billing and reporting features are simply outstanding. Billing is accurate, transparent and easy to manage while reporting delivers clear, customizable insights that make analyzing our data feel effortless. Together they've turned two of the most tedious administrative tasks into something I actually feel confident and efficient handling.

Cons

We have not noticed any noticeable downsides when using this tool since the platform consistently performs exactly the tasks we want to use it for.

Interface is not easy to use

Pros

Honestly there is not a lot I can praise about this software. My team recently migrated to it and I feel it's actually made my workflow more difficult. I am not claiming the previous Elite release was perfect but it certainly felt better overall.

Cons

The interface is not very easy to use. I found the Proformas tucked away on the left ribbon behind a small P icon which is not obvious. Overall it is not user-friendly and given the option, I'd choose a different solution.

Easy tracking tool

Pros

For me, it's incredibly easy to use and it really helps me stay on top of all my deadlines and events, keeping everything organized and stress-free.

Cons

Sometimes I find generating a report a bit tricky but overall it's a great tool for keeping track of upcoming deadlines and all my calendar events.

Simple navigation with useful features

Pros

I like how simple it is to navigate and I also love the variety of features that let me pull up billing questions, client/matter details and accounts receivable history.

Cons

When I keep several screens open this tool occasionally times out and forces me to return to the home page to reload. It also becomes quite slow sometimes especially during peak times of the month when many people are using it.

Covers every part of day to day work

Pros

3E covers every part of my day to day work except for exchanging emails. I keep a full paperless billing history and can quickly retrieve client and matter details, accounts receivable and all the other accounting-related records I need.

Cons

I have noticed that it can time out when processing larger bills and when I work across multiple screens it sometimes throws errors that force me to reload the application mid-task.

Pros

It is really simple to update timekeeper entries, adjust hours and correct matter numbers.

Cons

At first I found the main screen overwhelming with so many subtabs making it hard to navigate.

makes it easy to record billable hours

Pros

The software makes it really easy to record billable hours as I just pick the client/matter, add a short description and the time spent. It automatically rounds time and makes it simple for me to send off diary entries in batches. Plus the timers are handy for tracking multiple clients and matters during a single day and it even nudges me about any unsubmitted time from previous days when I open the app.

Cons

After the program has been running for several hours it frequently stops accepting time entries and I have to refresh it repeatedly to get it working again which is very irritating when I'm using the timers to track my work.

templates and mobile app are great but more shortcuts needed

Pros

For me the templates and mobile app are the best as they make tracking my time pretty easy and simple.

Cons

Powerful tool but can be too complex

Pros

I genuinely appreciated how powerful and flexible the program is. It let me handle cases in a practical manner which felt much simpler than most other software I have used before.

Cons

A few years back I rolled out this tool at a small firm and I found it packed with capabilities that really seemed targeted at mid to large firms. Plus many functions felt unnecessary for our size for where I was working.

good for data checks and single-step spreadsheets

Pros

Checking client matters, pulling up data and fixing time entries is really easy and hassle-free. Plus making spreadsheets only takes a single step!

Cons

An option to search by client name in the Group/Matter summary area would be amazing instead of being restricted to only using numbers.

Pretty complex tool to use

Pros

I can access it remotely as a web app which is convenient but that's all.

Cons

The interface is hard to use. The automatic spellcheck is annoying and the search does not feel user-friendly. Also entering time is only comfortable on a large desktop screen so it's not practical on smaller displays.

Good built-in timer, editing can be difficult

Pros

The built-in timer is good because it makes tracking projects pretty easy. Also when I pull the time by matter detail reports, they help me monitor yearly hours accurately.

Cons

It is somewhat difficult to figure out which time level applies to me and once I have submitted an entry, I often struggle to edit or change it without jumping through extra steps.

It has everything I need for law firm accounting and billing.

Cons

Occasionally it comes with more bells and whistles than I actually need so I always recommend making sure you purchase only the modules you'll end up using.

Pros

The reporting and docketing system is very well designed.

Cons

Personally I have run into usability issues. Such as the web interface feels slow and I've noticed occasional, unpredictable errors when trying to open files.
