“unreliable support!
Pros
I thought it was a promising IP management tool. It's cloud-based and had good document handling and Office integration. But honestly, being a new product, its success depended on listening to users like me (a patent attorney) and improving. Sadly as of September 2022, development and support have really gone downhill, updates are slow and support is almost non-existent. I have taken time to report big glitches and suggest fixes but now my emails just get ignored. For the price that's unacceptable. Other companies have come out with web-based options and unless things improve, I don't see Equinox making it. I can't recommend it anymore.
Cons
It's good cloud-based software. The document management is solid even if it has a few glitches now and then. It integrates well with Office and the Xero and LEDES stuff works perfectly for me.

“Flexible workflow booster
Pros
What pulled IPG to Equinox was how solid and flexible it was. We could easily adapt it to fit our firm's workflow. The Office integration made sharing, editing and sending documents to clients smooth and it boosted our efficiency very fast.
Cons
The initial setup was bumpy but that was mostly because of the data we were bringing over from our old system. One thing I'd really like is to set different email cc lists for each specific case, not just per person. Having case-specific client details and cc's for emails would be a game-changer.

“User friendly with a global gap
Pros
It is very easy to use. All the data is well organized and designing reports is pretty simple. Plus the support team is a pleasure to work with.
Cons
I find adding new fields to be somewhat complicated. Also, the software is like it's mainly built for the US and Europe. It would be super helpful if we could get deadlines and rules for other countries in there too.

“Interactive tool but awkward address book
Pros
From day one, I knew how to use the software without asking my colleagues for help. It's one of the most user-friendly interfaces out there.
Cons
The address book has hard to figure out. I just feel like it could be made a lot more simple and efficient.

I like everything. Its easy to use and perfect for what it's meant to do. The Equinox team is super proactive and responsive, always happy to help and sort out any issues.

“Powerful but demands precision
Pros
Support team is great and very helpful. They are always adding new and useful things to the product which happens often.
Cons
its flexibility means you really have to know what you want out of it. It can do a lot but you need to set it up right.

My favorite things are how easy it is to use, how kind and helpful the help team is and the special website where I can see all my information.
Cons
There is not anything we least like honestly. The functionality is just great!

Pros
The software is super user-friendly and adapts well for a small in-house IP team like ours.
Cons
Adding charges and doing the billing Is not the best experience, it could be smoother but it still gets the job done.

“easy setup with helpful support..
Pros
Its very simple to set up our projects and to-do lists so they match exactly how our team likes to get things done.
Cons
Some of the default settings needed a little adjustment from us but that was pretty simple. The Equinox support team has been very helpful. The one thing is the "manage citations" function doesn't really work for tracking when we send citations to different countries, we still have to run a separate spreadsheet for that.

“valuable tracker with minor setup friction
Pros
I find most of the tools useful but the best part is the reminder feature. It really helps me stay on track.
Cons
Nothing major but if I had to be super critical, setting up new clients and new cases is not very interactive. It could be simpler.

“supportive team with global limitations
Pros
Its friendly and easy to use, always accessible online and the support team is great, attentive and full of solutions. It's also excellent for creating reports, importing them and sending them to clients or using them myself.
Cons
I am not a fan of the new format, the old one was more appealing to me. It also doesn't give us full accounting support because of how VAT works here in Israel. We can't use it to issue tax invoices or receipts to clients so we have to use another program alongside it.

“truly good piece of software
Pros
It is interactive and simple to use. Whenever we have questions, the support team is superb, quick to respond and solve our queries.
Cons
There are a few small things I'd tweak to suit us perfectly like having two currencies and default charge-out rates but on the whole, this is a really good piece of software.
