“clear reports, limited impact”
Pros
One thing that works well is the report layout especially the client ledgers. They're organized in a way that makes them simple to read and understand.
Cons
Closing files is handled efficiently which I appreciated. You can continue adding closed files to a list and then choose to print everything together at the end.

“all-in-one client view”
Pros
Having everything for a client available in one place made a big difference and being able to edit it there too meant no jumping through three different sections, changing filters and waiting for screens to load. It's fairly simple to find things because the headings are clear and logical. The autofill features for repeated tasks were really helpful for cutting down on routine assistant work. Printing the same reports for multiple banks was simple. I also appreciated being able to print client reminders by range instead of all or nothing, like pulling only the ones over 30 days overdue and the different sorting options made distribution much easier. It was also useful to select a group of bills to pay and process cheques in one batch instead of handling them one by one.
Cons
Contacts section felt a little buggy to work with especially after using a more user-friendly system and seeing how much better a contact list can be. The pre-bill system was confusing at times, even though it was supposed to help and did seem useful for draft bills. From what I understood from the lawyers, the timekeeping feature didn't deliver as much value as it should have. It also seemed more difficult for the lawyers to find the specific reports they wanted on their own and sharing information with the accountant was harder than it should have been.

“helpful legal accounting and client management”
Pros
ESILaw handles accounting for both general and more specific legal matters really well and it also works nicely as a client management tool. With just a few clicks, it's simple to pull up the key details about a client and their matters all in one place.
Cons
The system is fairly simple to use overall but it is on the expensive side. Also, billing can occasionally run into issues when generating invoices although most of the time it works as expected.

“user-friendly financial account access”
Pros
Navigating ESILaw feels very user-friendly and it makes checking a client's financial account simple. I can quickly review deposits, bills, disbursements and transfers to capital accounts without any hassle.
Cons
One frustrating part is the search feature. At times, when I click to enter a client number, it doesn't let me type and instead opens a full list of every client. Then I have to scroll through the list to find the right person which ends up taking more time.
