“Ideal tool!
Pros
Creating contracts in Ironclad is very easy and the whole process is simple to follow. Its Salesforce integrations work really well too so moving from opportunity through to closing has become smooth for me. I'd definitely recommend it.

Pros
Being able to handle all my documents and contracts in one place has been a huge plus. I can also get them electronically signed even when I am away and the platform is very simple to use.

“User-friendly for signatures, poor search function
Pros
I find the tool fairly user-friendly when it comes to sending contracts out for signatures as the process is simple and efficient. However I really struggle to locate older agreements in the system so it hasnt been very helpful for me when I need to retrieve past documents or review historical terms. A stronger search or archive function would make a big difference for long-term usability.
Cons
It's nearly impossible to locate older contracts. The search fields are awkward and with years of data, searches often return irrelevant results.

Pros
For our legal team Ironclad is excellent for tracking contract redlines. It provides a smooth, consolidated way to negotiate agreements, keeps a clear audit trail for compliance and has a user-friendly interface. The Outlook integration makes managing correspondence easier.

Pros
I enjoy the user-friendly interface and collaboration features. The UI is clean, modern and not too technical so I get up to speed quickly. Collaboration tools like comments and version control are great.

Pros
My biggest challenge when drafting contracts was choosing the right phrasing to cover every detail. Ironclad has genuinely helped improve this. Its AI assistant streamlines drafting and I no longer stress over wording. Pros
Having a full audit trail is a huge plus. Every update is tracked and versioned and any changes involving stakeholders are clearly communicated which helps keep everyone on the same page throughout the process.

Pros
The thing that has really stood out with IronClad is how responsive the customer support team is. They consistently stay on top of issues and unlike other platforms where a resolution can take a few days, this one usually handles things much faster. I really like that level of support. Thank you.

“user-friendly dashboard and tracking
Pros
The system's design is pretty good. The dashboard clearly shows the exact stage each workflow is in which makes it much easier to stay on top of things. Communication with both internal and external teams is also really useful for following progress and keeping track of workflow changes. I also like the metadata since it makes all the important contract details easy to find in one place.
Cons
It would be helpful to have a contract status feature that shows which contracts are currently active, terminated or expired although I understand that's expected in a future update. I'd also like to see more resources or guidance on creating custom formulas for workflow designs.

Pros
Well the template editor has easily become my favorite part of Ironclad CLM. Being able to build clauses and set up if/then logic helped us create far more contract templates than we originally expected. “Easy to use software
Pros
The workflow designer was up and running was very easy because the features follow a logical structure. It's especially helpful that answers meant to be email addresses can be captured as actual email values instead of just plain text fields. Having that kind of true data capture makes a big difference when we are building out our repository.
Cons
Only thing I'd still like to see improved is the 'turn' function. It would be much better if each approver had their own individual turn tracking or if the system could more accurately reflect when the in-house attorney is actually reviewing the agreement and how long it has taken in that specific approver role. Our workflow includes five different approvers, one from each department and the attorney is the one using the turn feature but it currently adds 'days' or time even while the other approvers are completing their reviews. Ideally, the 'turn' function should work at an individual approver level.

“Highly valuable software
Pros
Custom workflow setup has been proven highly valuable. It lets you build conditional approval paths and assign signers automatically so documents go straight to the right department or internal stakeholder without someone having to manually route everything. In a larger organization, that makes a big difference in preventing delays and keeping work moving. The launch pages are also highly customizable which is useful not just for generating custom terms in document templates but also for capturing that information so it can be reported on later. That makes it possible to track more than just contract volume as you can also monitor the use of specific non-standard clauses.
Cons
Overall the reporting tools are very strong but they seem geared more toward company-wide performance and document-type tracking than measuring individual user output. For instance, it works really well for tracking things like SaaS agreements, how many were sent out and which non-standard terms were included but it is less helpful if you want to evaluate a specific user's productivity. It is not a critical gap by any means though there is definitely room to grow in that area. Since reporting is still a newer feature, I expect it will continue to improve. During my time using this tool, they have consistently added features that make the platform better for both users and admins so I am confident this will get better over time.

“fast form setup and edits
Pros
Getting started with it on a new project has been a pleasant surprise because the platform is very easy to use. Creating online forms in Ironclad feels quite user friendly and it only takes a few minutes to put one together. It's also convenient to make quick changes to a form later on if QA shows that something needs to be updated.
Cons

“Centralized contracts and faster reviews
Pros
Having everything for contracts in one place has saved us a lot of time and effort. Drafting, negotiating, signing and managing agreements all happen within a centralized system and the layout is user friendly enough that getting around the platform is pretty easy. One of the biggest strengths is the conditional approval workflow which makes sure each contract goes to the right reviewer and no one unnecessary gets involved. That has made our review process much more efficient and helped eliminate bottlenecks. The clause library and pre-approved templates have also been incredibly useful especially for speeding up contract drafting. Collaboration is another area where the platform really helps. Our internal teams, clients and vendors can all work together more easily which makes approvals and signatures far less complicated. Private comments and version control have also helped us negotiate more effectively and keep everyone aligned throughout the process.
Cons
The interface still is a bit confusing and that can make it harder than it should be to locate certain features or options. I have also run into slow load times which can be frustrating and definitely affect efficiency. Another downside is the limited customization since it is not always possible to tailor the software fully to fit my organization's specific needs. On top of that customer support has been inconsistent and response times can be slow which means issues sometimes stay unresolved longer than expected. Even with the clear benefits it offers, these problems have lowered my overall satisfaction with the platform.

Pros
One thing that really works well with Ironclad is how much it simplifies contract management. It helps organize legal workflows, automates contract drafting and signature steps and keeps documents securely accessible which makes the whole process more efficient.

Pros
Ironclad CLM is a great tool and the platform is simple to understand. It saves a lot of time and cuts down heavily on paperwork. “Pretty quick to rollout
Pros
This application is very easy to use. After completing the Developer training, I felt ready to start building workflows right after the first session. It was simple to learn and Ironclad gave me all the tools I needed to feel successful from the start. Their customer service has been consistently reliable from day one. And because the platform is so user friendly, rolling it out across the team was also very manageable as people were able to jump in and start using it without much trouble.
Cons
There's clearly a lot of room for even more functionality in the application which feels promising. When I have shared suggestions with them, it has seemed like they genuinely listened and even acted on some of that feedback. The only real drawback that comes to mind is the need for a stronger back-end audit trail, such as a place to view date and time stamps for when users are added, removed or assigned permissions.

“powerful collaboration and tracking
Pros
One of the most convenient parts is being able to send and receive updated document versions by email without having to download and re-upload them into an existing Ironclad workflow. The built-in text editor is also helpful for smaller redlines and the ability to @mention teammates directly in comments makes internal collaboration much better even if the interface could still use some improvement. The activity feed and email tracking, when set up through CC, do a really good job of preserving the back-and-forth around redlines so future team members can review contract negotiations without needing an admin to dig through a former employee's inbox. The Salesforce integration has been flawless and while the DocuSign integration could offer more visibility, it still gets the job done well enough.
Cons
Setting up workflows to account for all the possible scenarios and exceptions turned into a frustrating process that took about two months. A big issue is that any changes made to a workflow template do not apply to contracts that are already in progress which means you end up pulling documents out of it and handling them through email and DocuSign anyway, defeating much of the purpose of using this tool in the first place. In reality, you usually do not realize a workflow needs to be adjusted until you are already deep into contract negotiations. For example, one of our signers was out of office but because we had not built a backup signer into the workflow template, every contract already in flight under that signer had to either be restarted or moved out to email and counterparties had to be contacted manually. In another case, we needed to add an addendum page to an in-flight contract packet and have the counterparty sign it but since that option was not included in the workflow from the start, we could not add it alongside the existing documents. We had to download everything, complete the process through email and DocuSign and then upload it back into the repository.

Pros
Working with the same types of agreements across project after project makes standardization and automation a huge time-saver and Ironclad really helped us move in that direction. It has made the contracting process much more efficient and helped us get contracts signed faster than ever before. On top of that the Support team has been fantastic. “organized workflow for legal teams
Pros
Once you get familiar with the platform, it keeps things fairly well organized and does a good job of streamlining the legal process.
Cons
Navigating it can still be frustrating and some parts of the system are not very user friendly. For instance changing a signatory is not obvious and it can only be done before the contract is approved. I ran into this when my manager was suddenly in a car accident and I needed to update the point of contact. Because the contract had already been approved, I had to submit an edit request and wait for it to move all the way back through the queue again. I also wish there were better visibility across team members since there's no way to check on requests submitted by others which becomes really annoying when someone is out of office. One more thing and that is comments do not notify anyone unless they are tagged. It would be much better if all stakeholders or at least the legal reviewer, were automatically alerted when a change is made.
