Powerful object-based automation with great support

Pros

Using this platform makes writing code substantially simpler compared with other systems I've worked with like HotDocs and Contract Express. I didn't find the learning curve steep if you've already written document code before. The customer support has been outstanding. The initial setup also includes a ton of pre-filled variables and formulas which makes it really efficient to get everything configured and running quickly.

Cons

Because the code is object-based I sometimes find it hard to prevent variables from appearing in the interview that ought to stay hidden which can be awkward during user sessions.

Reliable features and strong support

Pros

The support has been excellent, the features are great and I've found it consistently reliable in my work.

Cons

Unfortunately it doesn't connect with the case management platform we rely on. I tried looking into a Zapier workaround but with the sheer number of variables across our document set it would be a real headache to set up. It does offer integrations with other apps we don't use which isn't helpful for our workflow.

more features and easier than HotDocs

Pros

Compared to HotDocs this tool offers a lot more features. For me it feels much easier to use especially if you're just starting with templates or working with ones that aren't too complex and can be converted without too much trouble.

Cons

In our case the way HotDocs was set up meant the conversion ended up being largely pointless and costly so I basically had to rebuild everything from the ground up.

powerful API for document automation

Pros

What drew me in most was the API. My application handles client intake and guides them through the step-by-step decisions involved in a divorce. After collecting data, I send it through the API into predefined documents, using conditional logic to determine which sections to include or leave out. Even when the API was fairly new, it outperformed every other option we tested and improvements keep coming daily.

Cons

Even though I already complimented the API above I recognize it still has some shortcomings that affect certain workflows. That said I'm confident the remaining issues will be addressed in future updates and I expect those gaps to be closed over time.

Highly customizable with responsive support

Pros

it is great that how much I can customize this tool, how dependable it is and how quickly support staff respond whenever I need help.

Cons

Sometimes the interview process feels tough and I'd love to have more integrations with other applications and programs.

extremely flexible Word automation

Pros

Having worked in the software industry preparing automated documents for tax return programs, I find this product extremely customizable. It has handled every data-automation task I've needed within Word documents and the team keeps rolling out new features which I really appreciate.

Cons

My hope is that they keep expanding their help articles and knowledge base. I consult those resources constantly and there remain several subjects where they could provide more useful reference materials.

Saves significant time through automation

Pros
