“I've had a wonderful experience

LawDepot is great for quickly generating legally updated contracts and it's super easy to navigate. It gets the job done fast and efficiently.

Cons

Everything's been good so far. I haven't found anything I dislike as of today.

I didn't actually get to use it, even though I was charged for it.

Be cautious with their subscription model. Don't give them your credit card unless you're actually planning to use the service. They'll charge you $50 every month, whether you use it or not, which I find very unethical. Their emails ended up in my spam folder and I tried to cancel within 3 days but they refused to refund me. So I ended up paying $50 for absolutely no service. I can't recommend a company like this. Avoid it to save yourself the headache and money.

They offer the ability to create a legal document and if you decide to cancel your subscription, you won't be charged anything extra.

Cons

A while ago, I logged into LawDepot.ca to create a waiver for a charity event. To do this, I had to subscribe to their service but I was told I wouldn't be charged the subscription fee if I canceled after creating the document. I did cancel, just like I had done twice before in the past 4 years.

The document creation process is pretty simple and easy to follow. Customer support has been very helpful and they respond quickly.

Cons

I have only created a few documents. Can't think of anything I dislike about the service.

Not much to say!! just basic templates that and I honestly think ChatGPT could generate for free.

Awful experience. It's clear they make money off their so called "7 day free trial." I signed up for the trial, canceled within the 7 days but they still charged my bank account for 2 months. When I called customer service, they said they couldn't see that I canceled the subscription, and refused to refund me. It felt like a scam. Stay away unless you want to give them free money.

It's a scam! Once you sign up, they start charging you a monthly subscription.

This tool has decent forms and they are helpful but not that perfect.

They mislead you about the subscription. You think you're just paying for one document, but a couple of months later, you will see charges on your credit card. It's a shady way to do business. They definitely misrepresent their service and catch you when you forget to remove your card. Time for a chargeback.

LawDepot is a fraudulent company. They charge your credit card without notifying you. After transitioning from a free to a paid account, there's no warning and they quietly start charging your card. When I raised this concern, they just pointed out that the charge shows up on my credit card statement. That's their only defense.
